Barbie might be the All-American girl but she'll share the spotlight with a trio of familiar Canadians on the big screen this summer.

Known for his roles in “Superbad” and “Arrested Development,” Cera has been announced as part of the extended cast playing a character simply known as “Allan.” Cera only appears in one scene during the trailer as Liu and Gosling have a “beach off,” so moviegoers will have to wait to see how big a role Allan will play in the film. But Liu isn’t the only local actor who appears in the new trailer as Brampton’s Michael Cera is also starring in the movie. The “Barbie” movie is set to hit theatres in July with Margot Robbie starring in the titular role alongside London, Ontario-born Ryan Gosling as Ken in a big-screen take on the popular children’s toy franchise.
