If you finish in third to last, you can end up with the fifth pick if you are really unlucky. If you come in last, even if you don’t win the lottery the worst you can finish is with the third pick. If they end up missing the playoffs, you can point to their season series with the Hawks. They also had the least amount of points in the league coming into the game as well. To be honest, this was a terrible result for both of the teams involved in the game.
