Canadian swimmer Summer McIntosh broke her second world record this week, lowering the 400m individual medley mark on Saturday.

The 16-year-old adds the 400-metre individual medley mark to the 400 freestyle record she set Tuesday.

She won in 2:06.89, just off the mark of 2:06.12. McIntosh is the first person to hold long-course world records in both the 400 IM and 400 free. Her time of 3:56.08 eclipsed the mark of 3:56.40 set in May by Ariarne Titmus of Australia.

The 16-year-old had opened the meeting, Canada's selection event for July's World Championships in Fukuoka, with a world record in the 400-meter freestyle.
