Two of those recent division losses came in the last five days with the Senators taking Toronto all the way to nine rounds of the shoot out and then league leading Boston the full sixty minutes on a back-to-back just falling 2-1. Mistakes against Tampa Bay are killers as the Lightning rank third in the league converting 25.5% of their opportunities on the season. Tampa Bay of course needs no introduction having gone to the Stanley Cup each of the last three years winning two in that span. When watching the games you see that the Senators are evenly matched in all of these games. Currently the Senators are seven points back of Pittsburgh for the final playoff spot with 11 games to play each. The Senators are fighting to stay in the race for the final playoff spot with seven teams all within 11 points of both Wild Card spots.

NHL Odds: Lightning vs. Senators prediction, pick, how to watch – 3 ... (ClutchPoints)

The Tampa Bay Lightning take on the Ottawa Senators as we continue our NHL odds series with a prediction, pick and how to watch.

The Senators will need Stutzle to lead the attack if they want to win. Ottawa is middle of the pack in scoring, so the Lightning defenders should be able to handle the attack. In seven of those games, the Senators have given up at least four goals. Tampa Bay is one of the best offensive teams in the NHL. However, if the Lightning want home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs, they need to win these games. The Tampa Bay Lightning are third in the Atlantic with a record of 42-24-6, trailing Toronto by just three points.

Game 72 Preview and Open Thread: Ottawa Senators vs Tampa ... (Silver Seven)

Seems every team in the division has beaten Tampa recently...can Ottawa follow suit?

# Dylan Ferguson has a .980 save percentage in the NHL while Mads Søgaard put up a .943 against Boston. - He’s had some of his best games when I draw attention to his struggles in the preview, so here we go again — Alex DeBrincat has 1 point in his last 6 games. One may recall the last game between these two teams in November. Something else to consider is that the Bolts have ben losing several games to opponents below them in the standings as of late, such as the Sabres, Penguins, Panthers, and the Canadiens most recently. Though you can’t compete with Nikita Kucherov’s 100-point campaign, Tim Stützle has been one of the league’s most productive players in 2023, ranking 6th with 47 points, tied with Kucherov and having played two fewer games.
