How Adopting Oracle's OPERA Cloud and OHIP Technologies ... (Hospitality Net)

After spending a few years in a global pandemic, travelers have never been hungrier to see the world and have a great hotel experience wherever they go.

[independent hoteliers, global and regional chains](https://www.oracle.com/industries/hospitality/hotel-property-management/), [gaming](https://www.oracle.com/industries/hospitality/casino-gaming/), and [cruise lines](https://www.oracle.com/industries/hospitality/cruise/). The last key benefit OPERA Cloud provides is giving us access to our data, enabling at the same time our data governance processes. So, the main benefits we have found in using the Oracle Hospitality ecosystem are not only how efficient and cost-effective their solution is, but also how it has transformed the way our business operates. OHIP also enables us to integrate our PMS with everything else in our tech ecosystem, so guests can start with our loyalty program and use their Meliá points everywhere. For our guest loyalty program, this means that visitors can start our loyalty program at any of our locations, and then accumulate and take advantage of Meliá points across our entire footprint. Most important of all for us in our day-to-day operations is the adoption of OHIP, Oracle’s next-generation integration solution. Oracle’s technology has also given us the tools to upgrade our hotel app for our customers. As such, we have been able to deliver amazing experiences that are unique for each customer, not only identifying what's best for them based on the historical data from previous visits, but also by creating a frictionless experience when they arrive at our hotels. With these technologies, we are able to simplify and improve our operations to ensure employees and managers can spend more time focusing on guests. One of the best ways for hoteliers to ensure guests are having incredible, personalized experiences is to keep teams engaged by utilizing technology to deliver the latest and greatest in industry innovation. It optimizes their time at work and can be used anywhere which make us more efficient. It also makes teamwork easier, since Oracle helps free our staff from having to complete repetitive tasks.

These Former Banks Turned Into Opulent Boutique Hotels (Hotels Above Par)

A fan of the past? For those that have a history knack, these nine banks-turned-boutique-hotels provide guests with a rich travel experience.

[Rosewood Vienna (Vienna, Austria)](https://www.rosewoodhotels.com/en/vienna/overview) [The Quoin (Delaware, U.S.)](https://thequoinhotel.com/) [Rosewood Vienna](https://hotelsabovepar.com/rosewood-vienna-makes-its-debut-at-petersplatz/) merges past and present in its remodeled 19th-century host edifice. [Teller’s](https://www.tellersokc.com/), and transforming the old bank vault into a swanky underground cocktail experience, the [Library of Distilled Spirits](https://www.libraryofdistilledspiritsokc.com/), adds a nice historical touch, too.

Further north on the Cesme Peninsula, the smart set’s worst-kept-secret, [Alaçati](https://www.cntraveller.com/gallery/alacati-turkey), works for all ages, with enough beach bars and surfer hangouts to keep teens happy, and welcoming boutique hotels with the feel of a family home. [Bodrum Peninsula](https://www.cntraveller.com/article/bodrum-turkey-things-to-do) – long the retreat of Istanbul’s intelligentsia, and on our radar since Mick and Bianca Jagger holidayed there in the 1970s – appeals to older kids, with its glam restaurants and clubs. Long, hot summers mean days and nights are lived outside: daytimes are about exploring the ragged coastline’s uncountable islets and inlets, messing about in sailing boats, swimming in bays of bright blue water, walking coast paths scented by thyme and umbrella pines.
