According to Earthquakes Canada, the automatic detection system recorded the Dawson Creek event around 7:59 a.m. The seismic event was recorded by the automatic detection system in the area and was felt by people in Grande Prairie. A second 4.2 magnitude quake was detected earlier the same morning in the Dawson Creek region. Itโ€™s reported the quake was recorded 10 kilometres beneath the earthโ€™s surface at 8:46 a.m. MDT, a 4.6-magnitude quake was detected, while a 3.8-magnitude one was recorded at 9:07 a.m. Along with the two additional events, the first earthquake was bumped up to a 4.5 magnitude from the preliminary 4.3.
