After several days of doing interviews, chef Jeff Anderson knew the question was coming: how does it take two years to invent a sandwich? Anderson, a Cole .
I loved working in restaurants, loved the culture and the lifestyle, but I saw the way it was for other people, the hard hours, the hard days, and I wondered how do I follow my passion for food, but in a different way,” said Anderson, who then returned to the Culinary Institute of Canada for a two-year culinary operations course. “At McDonald’s, servicing 1,400 restaurants across the country, we have to do due diligence and develop something that’s consistent, that our guests are going to love,” Anderson said in an interview on Monday. Anderson grew up in Colby Village, graduated from Auburn Drive High School and worked construction with his brother, before his mother got him a dishwashing job at a restaurant group on Argyle Street.

Unfortunately the Chicken Big Mac will only be here for a limited time. “To these guests, we love your passion and your hacking days are officially behind you: the Chicken Big Mac is finally here. It actually lends itself to the Mac dressing and I have no doubt it will become customers’ new go-to favourite.
The Chicken Big Mac is essentially what it sounds like – a Big Mac, special sauce included, with two breaded chicken patties instead of the traditional beef ...
Good. “The Chicken Big Mac both looks and tastes like the ‘love child’ of the Big Mac and Filet-O-Fish, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Even if the chicken didn’t look questionable, I can’t see why someone would opt for this instead of some McNuggets or a McChicken.”
Did a hilarious social media post start a feud between fast-food giants?
Plenty of Canadians have likely flocked (pardon the pun) to their local Mickey D's to get a taste, but an unexpected entity did too: [KFC Canada](https://www.instagram.com/kfc_canada/). [its official Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/kfc_canada/) and [McDonald's Canada](https://www.instagram.com/mcdonaldscanada/) has been [teasing the new Chicken Big Mac for the past little while](https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/mcdonalds-chicken-big-mac) and it finally made its debut today.
McDonald's Canada announced that it would introduce the Chicken Big Mac on March 7, a twist on the classic triple bun beef burger.
The crunch of the pickles and creamy tanginess of the Big Mac sauce still hit the spot, but if I had to order the Chicken Big Mac again… Strangely enough, I even got Filet-O-Fish vibes at one point due to the mushy texture of certain bites. Because of how thin the chicken was, it got lost amongst the chaos of the other ingredients in every bite. While we still don't know how long the Chicken Big Mac will be around, I didn't waste any time grabbing one. So, when the new Big Mac officially dropped, you already know I had to get my hands on it to give it a taste. In fact, I couldn't make out what I was eating at times.
