TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports that teams are hoping for a price drop on Jakob Chychrun. The Buffalo Sabres are staying close, the Columbus Blue ...
Edmonton also brought back a 2024 sixth-rounder in the deal. Bill Armstrong is back to the drawing board working on landing spots for Chychrun. The contract carries a cap hit of $4.6 million, runs through the 2024-25 season and includes a modified no-trade clause in each of the next two campaigns. Ottawa is always willing to listen and the Sens are on a roll. Dreger adds that the red-hot Ottawa Senators are also willing to listen. Dreger notes that Buffalo Sabres are staying close, while the Columbus Blue Jackets remain interested and have some collateral to make a deal after their
The NHL trade deadline draws near, and Arizona Coyotes defenseman Jakob Chychrun has still been linked in rumors and speculations to a handful of teams.
TORONTO, ON — The Toronto Maple Leafs pulled off three moves on Tuesday further deepening their blueline and creating salary cap space in the process.
The Capitals moved a first-round pick to Toronto, but still own their own selection. The Flames want to do something bold and are looking at both selling and buying. Everyone’s wondering what the heck Vegas is doing to do. They’re in the race. Trevor Moore’s injury is a concern for the Kings and adding up front could be something they try to do before Friday’s 3pm ET deadline. Again, I can’t say for certain the Kings out now out of the mix. Should the Leafs choose to move it – the pick is Boston’s, so expect it to fall in the late first-round – it would likely be for a significant piece. Are the Kings fully out of the Chychrun race? As I reported on Tuesday, the Kings had a significant offer on the table for Arizona Coyotes defenceman Jakob Chychrun. The other factor here is Quick is being paid $2.5 million in actual salary this season. I guess he wouldn’t have much say in the matter, though, because if he did, he’d still be a King. Justin Holl’s name has come up in trade chatter this week and he may get the Engvall treatment when all is said and done.
Craig Morgan: The Arizona Coyotes made forward Nick Bjugstad and defenseman Jakob Chychrun healthy scratches for trade-related reasons.

The NHL trade deadline for the 2022-23 season isn't until Friday at 3 p.m. ET. But the league's 32 teams aren't waiting until the last minute to complete…
[Matt Vensel](https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/penguins/2023/02/28/jt-miller-trade-pittsburgh-penguins-vancouver-canucks-jakob-chychrun-nhl-trade-deadline/stories/202302280114) of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Canucks and Penguins "recently engaged" in talks regarding forward J.T. Although there are other teams in the mix, the Penguins have "genuine interest" in Boeser, per Pagnotta. Over his first 14 years in the NHL, Van Riemsdyk has only played for Philadelphia and Toronto. The Buffalo Sabres have "kept tabs" on Chychrun. [Pierre LeBrun](https://www.tsn.ca/nhl/insider-trading-leafs-may-not-be-done-what-s-the-remaining-market-for-chychrun-1.1925094) of TSN and The Athletic shared on TSN's Insider Trading that several teams have been in the market for Chychrun. The NHL trade deadline for the 2022-23 season isn't until Friday at 3 p.m.
As Friday's NHL trade deadline looms, the most concrete option for the Penguins seems to be the potential acquisition of defenseman Jakob Chychrun from ...
The more that means, the more it really doesn’t. The Penguins shopped Pettersson throughout the offseason. Chychrun would almost certainly help get the Penguins in the playoffs for a 17th straight season. Would I make the Chychrun deal? The future is damned, anyway. The Penguins’ ceiling this season is losing in the first round of the playoffs. The Penguins won’t liquidate and rebuild no matter how this season ends. But the Penguins are in “win now” mode, even if they can’t. The Penguins don’t need rentals. Or, if the Penguins switch to the Atlantic bracket, they’d have to beat Boston, the Tampa Bay/Toronto winner, then the Metropolitan Division remnant. After that, the Penguins dry up and die. Chychrun has reportedly been on the market for months.
The clock is ticking ahead of the NHL trade deadline, but it sounds like the time for defenseman Jakob Chychrun with the Arizona Coyotes might not be coming ...
The Coyotes are reportedly asking for two first-round picks in return for Chychrun’s services . Chychrun hasn’t played for the Coyotes since February 10. That’s how long it’s been for Jakob Chychrun being out there, of course, you know, he’s asked for a move.
The fact that almost every major blue line name has come off of the trade bait board except for Jakob Chychrun is astonishing.
So I walk on down to the restaurant and waiting on Raphael to get down there so we get to be seated. Burrow is a media darling, and some members of the media prefer Burrow to Mahomes. The top team in terms of points, goals for and goals against in their outings. It gives them the ability to build the best roster in the division around a rookie quarterback and find their way to the top of the division. And there was a bar area leading into the restaurant area in the back of the house. If Kenny Pickett wants to be a legend and bring a Super Bowl to Pittsburgh, the time is now and thanks to the Cleveland Browns, the salary-cap clock is ticking. The last time that Williamson appeared in a game was January 2nd and the team has been torpedoed since. It is most likely that the team and those close to Jackson are waging a proxy campaign through media personalities, but one thing is certain: the Browns are the root cause of the issue between Jackson and the Ravens. A lot has been made of Russell Wilson receiving special treatment in his first season with the Denver Broncos last year, and Sean Payton has indicated that will no longer be the case. But, if a club does step up in the next 48 hours and give up two firsts and more to get the final big name available, the Coyotes will have been right this whole time, and the patient approach was the correct one. Ottawa is always willing to listen and the Sens are on a roll. Now that most of the big names are gone, will the appetite to spend big to get the player and the market for Chychrun improve?
With the NHL trade deadline fast approaching, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman covered a lot of ground on the Jeff Marek Show on Wednesday.
"Well, the one thing I think a lot of people are wondering is if they're gonna go after a goalie, and (from) what I can tell, the answer to is no," Friedman said. "I think Calgary has decisions to make," Friedman said. [Watch Hockey Central's trade deadline show on Sportsnet](https://watch.sportsnet.ca/event/Hockey_Central_Trade_Deadline_109627) [Sportsnet’s wall-to-wall coverage of the NHL trade deadline can be seen in a special edition of Hockey Central on March 3, beginning at 10 a.m. "The other thing I'm wondering is, do you move someone out so that you don't get people grumbling, that, 'Well, I had a role before and now I don't have one?'" All told, none of those deals involved a goalie, and Friedman said he doesn't expect the team to trade for one before the deadline. "Carolina is looking for a lefty and, you know, Chychrun fits their profile: He has term," Friedman said.
