FA Cup Odds: Bristol City vs. Man City prediction, pick, how to watch ... (ClutchPoints)

The Robins and the Blues will battle it out! Catch our FA Cup odds series with a Bristol City-Man City prediction and pick prepared for you.

Bristol will have to be firing in all cylinders to pull an upset against the Premier League champions. Haaland will likely give way of his slot to Julian Alvarez, who will be joined by Foden and Riyad Mahrez in the wings. Wells and Scott will be joined by Sam Bell and Mark Sykes in the front. The Robins are in the midst of a magnificent football display but they are still in a mediocre placement in the Championship. City has ridiculous stats in the Premier League, making 16.8 total shots, 6.5 corners, 7.9 successful dribbles, and 2.6 goals per game, thanks to a dominant 64.7% ball possession which also resulted in eight clean sheets. Manchester City is one of the favorite teams to win this FA Cup trophy. Antoine Semenyo and Tommy Conway are second in the team for goal contributions with nine. The Blues will be seeking to continue their five-game unbeaten streak in all tourneys. Pep Guardiola’s squad has won twice and drew two times in their last five away matches in all competitions. The Cider Army has acquired wins in the FA Cup over West Brom and Swansea. The Robins are in a 12-game undefeated run. FA Cup Odds: Fulham vs. Leeds prediction, pick, how to watch – 2 ... (ClutchPoints)

The Cottagers and the Whites face off in the FA Cup! Head on to our FA Cup odds series with a Fulham-Leeds prediction and pick.

For Leeds, Stuart Dallas, Rodrigo, and Adam Forshaw are reported in the injury list. Leeds currently sits in 17th place of the English Premier League and are again candidates for relegation to England’s Championship League. While Leeds will surely push the hosts to play well, Fulham’s hot form as of late is still blazing. Despite their short and still active run in the FA Cup, Fulham is no slouch in the Prem either. Several teams have shared spots in the relegation zone, but for now, Everton, Bournemouth, and Southampton occupy the bottom three. Rodrigo has 10 goals in the Prem while Jack Harrison has five assists. Fulham’s injury report lists Neeskens Kebano and Tom Cairney as the absentees in this game. Crysencio Summerville has five goal contributions in top flight. Aleksandar Mitrovic leads the squad in the Prem with 11 goals while Andreas Pereira leads in assists with six. Here in the FA Cup, Fulham was victorious against Sunderland and Hull City. Fulham also owns the eight-best home record in the Prem, garnering 22 points from 13 matches. Marco Silva’s men have been phenomenal in the Prem since their promotion from the Championship.

Fulham v Leeds: FA Cup fifth round – live (The Guardian)

Minute-by-minute report: Join Daniel Gallan for updates from the fifth-round tie at Craven Cottage.

74 mins: Leeds try to play the ball out from a goalkick but Pereira is quickly on to it and wins the ball back inside Leeds’ box. “This is the first time I’ve looked forward to a second half of a Leeds game since the Chelsea game back in August. Brighton are such good fun for the neutral this season, it must be brilliant to be a fan.” He picks up the piefes of a long cross and plays a swift one-two with Mitrovic and he cuts across the goal. He’s picked out by a neat through ball from Rutter (formerly referred to as Georginio) but the shot lacks power to drill past the ‘keeper. Hard to pick which is the better of the two. 76 mins: Leeds finally string a few passes together and it makes its way to Harrison on the left. Leeds might have had a penalty for a high kick inside the box. It all started with a break down the left. He puts in a ball at the near post but Koch can’t keep his effort down. Harrison is having a great spell down the left. 81 mins: That’s a chance for Koch at the near post.

FA Cup fifth round LIVE: Man City take on Bristol while Fulham ... (The Sun)

THE FA CUP fifth round is taking place RIGHT NOW!Championship outfit Bristol City are hoping to pull off the shock of the round by beating Premier Lea.

Leeds have had chances in the first half, and thought that they had opened the scoring before it was ruled out by the referee. Don't be surprised to see Bristol get a goal in the second half, but we know what Manchester City are like. Just a few minutes to go in this one, and Leicester are going for the equaliser with a number of changes on the pitch. They came agonisingly close at the end of the first half with a header from Georginio Rutter, who hit the inside of the post with a header. Brighton are the first team to get through the FA Cup fifth round unscathed, and it is Evan Ferguson who is the hero sending them into the quarter-finals. We are back in the game at Ashton Gate, as these two teams continue to chase a place in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Leicester have hit the post in the dying moments of the game! Blackburn Rovers have beaten Premier League opposition in Leicester City to progress to the FA Cup quarter-finals. It's all over in Bristol, with Manchester City progressing to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. It is a curling effort from outside the box, and that wraps up the game for Manchester City. They got the win and qualification to the next round, but it didn't come easy, as Leicester were attacking hard in the second half. There is much more action still to come in the FA Cup fifth round, and these are the games we are still yet to see:

Some of the best FA Cup moments in history have occurred under ... (The Guardian)

In today's Football Daily: Midweek FA Cup magic, Nigel Pearson and more.

A few years back when I worked for a well known parcel delivery company, I was tasked with a special journey to deliver a parcel to the home of Liverpool’s Lucas Leiva. I tried to use the excuse of it being cold outside to said player but even though he didn’t seem to fall for it he still laughed it off” – Pete Cody. “There is a part of me that realises I’m not the easiest to work with at times … I wasn’t actually aware of the recipient’s name until after I got strangely selected by my boss to carry out this task. I’m a lot more thoughtful than I’ve been in the past and able to look at things in a different way. That’s if Pep’s performance in the pre-match press conference is anything to go by, given he spent most of it going out of his way to patronise Manchester United in the wake of their League Cup glory. The place: Annfield Park, Stirling, for a local derby between the mighty Albion and Stenhousemuir. Similar excitement this time is surely not beyond the realms, given that Bristol City are on a run of 12 matches without defeat, while Manchester City go into the game with one eye on the title race, the other on that elusive Big Cup. The Robins surprisingly have the historical upper hand over the Citizens, 10-9 up in wins, and although they’ve lost all of the last four meetings, a sequence that stretches back to 1980, they gave Pep Guardiola’s side a run for their money in the 2018 Coca-Cola Cup semis. So let’s embrace this new-fangled state of affairs, which you may as well do as it’s surely here to stay now, or at least until the FA Cup is abolished in 2031 by decree of all four members of the new streamlined Premier League (Newcastle Football Concern, Consolidated Mancunian, London Weekend and PSG). The plum tie of the fifth round – in the old-fashioned sense of having potential shock value, as opposed to the modern one of being exactly the same sort of fixture you get week in, week out on Sky – is relegation-haunted Saints versus fourth-tier Grimsby. Let’s be honest, most of the best FA Cup moments in history occurred under lights in the middle of the week anyway.

Manchester City into FA Cup quarter-finals as Foden bares teeth in ... (The Guardian)

Manchester City brushed aside their Championship opponents, winning 3-0 thanks to a Phil Foden double and a late strike from Kevin De Bruyne.

Phillips rattled the crossbar with 63 seconds on the clock with a shot from outside the box and although the hosts then settled Manchester City took the lead on seven minutes. The longer the hosts stayed in the game, the more they grew in belief. Guardiola’s opposition scout advised him to expect an awkward evening and the Spaniard finished his homework on the Championship side poring over some clips on the flight south to Bristol on Tuesday. It did not stop Pearson and Guardiola, who were in deep in discussion at full time, chewing the fat over a glass of wine. The sight of De Bruyne and Rico Lewis booting the ball clear amid second-half pressure told part of the story. Scott was one of five academy graduates to start and two more arrived from the bench.

They've already knocked out Bournemouth from the FA Cup, and they performed admirably against Manchester United in the fourth round of the EFL Cup, defeated 2-0 in a game they out-shot their Premier League opponents 11-10 but struggled to finish chances. And for knockout competition, they don't have to beat Premier League sides over the course of a long season, but instead just a few games where anything can happen. While City this season have not yet shown they can consistently win on days they don't have their best, they are still one of the best sides in the league. It has been 43 years since a team from the lower divisions won the FA Cup, but if there's ever a chance for that to happen, it's now. In the 2023 competition, which has reached the Round of 16, all that could change. In fact, a lower-tier club has not won the FA Cup since West Ham in 1980.

However, “chaos” was our best chance to get back in the match (as opposed to “trying to break down a packed defence”), and City got one back on 65’. It would have been three almost immediately afterwards as Amartey was again beaten by Szmodics, but the extremely busy Iversen came to the rescue and turned the ball around the post with his knee. The rest of the half was marked by sloppy passes, players not on the same page as each other, and Rovers lying deep and daring a Maddison- and Tielemans-free Leicester side to break them down. For the rest of is, it was tough to watch. Instead of shooting, he squared it for Tyrhys Dolan who turned it goalwards, but Iversen made a spectacular save when you were sure the back of the net was going to bulge. The big man slid it to Szmodics in the middle, who somehow dribbled directly through Ricardo and then Amartey (not around them; I meant what I said), and slotted home from close range. In our tradition of failing to heed warning klaxons, Amartey was not to be denied. The midfielder bore down on Iversen and his shot looked goal bound, but the Great Dane 2.0 stuck out a leg and made the save. His shot cleared a sea of legs but Pears did well again to make the second save in quick succession. The Lancashire side had a great chance to take the lead on 17’ when Amartey was caught in possession on the right flank. The Foxes came out of the gates with an intermittently effective high press, signalling intent to keep the Championship side under pressure. Substitute and resident King of the FA Cup Kelechi Iheanacho got one back, but City couldn’t find an equaliser to keep their cup run alive.

He had Leeds to lift the FA Cup at 40/1. It might have been that finishing 11th with [Watford](https://theathletic.com/football/team/watford/) in 2019 mattered more to Gracia but the FA Cup, as he said, is where everyone can live a little. For Gracia, reaching the FA Cup final began with a win at Woking and him trading a bottle of Sangria for a bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale with Woking’s manager, Alan Dowson. He was on the fence, Elland Road was electric, Leeds were in the quarter-finals and a cup run took hold without anyone truly seeing it coming. The interest was such that the Yorkshire Evening Post captured photographs of people with no tickets sitting on the roof of a nearby building. They were Division Two play-off finalists and semi-finalists in the FA Cup, a club on a roll.

By expected points, West Ham should be ninth in the Premier League table. Take him to make his mark in front of net instead, despite the somewhat less appetizing value. West Ham are a very difficult team to figure out this season. Garnacho's total of 0.36 expected goals (xG) per 90 minutes this season maybe doesn't sound like much, but when compared to Rashford's mark of 0.45, it looks a lot more dangerous. Man United have won four of those five games. It isn't a shock to see multiple players rested in this competition. West Ham received a blow that Lukasz Fabianski will be out for a significant time with fractures to his cheekbone and orbital bone, meaning Alphonse Areola is the new starting goalkeeper for the foreseeable future. Instead, they're just slightly capped at about 2/3 moneyline odds, while West Ham are 4/1 underdogs to win outright in 90 minutes of regulation.
