A disruptive winter storm tests the Monday evening commuters in southern Ontario, with more to come as an active storm track takes shape this work week.
10-15 cm of snow is expected along the Highway 401 corridor, in eastern Ontario and into the Ottawa area. This wintry mix is expected to persist until strong, southwesterly winds surge in a warmer and rainier air mass over the region. A Colorado low and its various precipitation types, including rain, ice and snow, are expected to linger in southern Ontario into Tuesday.
