From Margaret dancing with Zulu, to Fletcher and Sharief racing on the route, here are the best moments from Mardi Gras Day.

Peter and Royal streets as a partiers danced to the rhythms of Omaracuja, a band of samba-reggae drummers from Paris that came to play in Bacchus. Meanwhile, a riot of colors erupted as the Society of St. Topical costumes were relatively rare, though some quick thinkers had assembled blow-up suits adorned with the Chinese flag to capitalize on the recent reports of spy balloons. Etienne said he had been coming to the same spot for 54 years, since his parents bought their house half a block from Jackson Avenue on Brainard in 1969. Anne began their pilgrimage through the Marigny and French Quarter to the Mississippi River. Others set up grills on the sidewalk, roasting chicken and ribs near the police barricades. With ideal weather, the celebrations rolled across the city.

This event is free for all to enjoy, from Walt Disney World Resort guests to Orlando locals. “We usually get a couple months to pick the theme, and then we just start planning and get going from there. We are directly involved in the parade, but we help support everything, the banners, the theming, everything extra that happens…The overall enthusiasm across property, to have our guests, they are here at Walt Disney World, to stay and wanna see this, and experience this, its incredible. We will do site visits, lots of pictures, they use those pictures and incorporate them on the float to add that theming detail.
