The league finally drafted its rosters in November and is on track to start up on Feb. The pair have provided regular updates about the XFL's relaunch since 2020, originally planning for a 2022 return before pushing that date to 2023. As of August 2022, the league was looking for additional investors to join the team. The XFL's restart in 2020 failed for reasons that fell mostly outside of the league's control. Can the XFL break that trend and stick around? The XFL is back for 2023 after a three-year hiatus.

A new season brings new teams and new stadiums in the XFL. Here's where each of the teams will play in 2023:

The Seattle-based XFL franchise is notable for drawing large crowds in each of its two home games at the formerly named CenturyLink Field in 2020. It makes sense that Johnson would try to inject his branding into one of the XFL teams given that he is one of the owners of the rebooted spring league. That's why their logo comes in the shape of a long-horned bull. The term "Brahma" is, in this case, an abbreviation for the American Brahman, which is a type of bull that has been bred in the United States since 1885. It is the most common breed of cattle in Australia for that reason. Brahma also is a Hindu god who is a member of the trinity of supreme divinity. The move to put a team in San Antonio made sense considering how football-crazed the state of Texas is.
