Well, of all the UFC Fight Night cards, this has certainly been one of them. The prelims were a little fun, but this main card has been a tough hang so far.

Gorimbo rolled to his back to try and relieve the pressure, but the squeeze was on Fletcher earned the tap. We saw a guard pull from Gorimbo to open the second round, and was able to summon his inner Demian Maia to get on top. Lins rocked OSP with a straight left in the opening exchange, and then stepped on the gas. Länsberg crashed into the clinch to start the second stanza, but it was Bueno Silva that was connecting with elbows. After a brief timeout, the fight resumed and Bueno Silva started to work the body. Hernandez slipped, and Miller jumped on the back to attack with an RNC. The straight right of Hernandez was finding a home early and often in the second stanza. Down the stretch, Parisian was stuffing the takedowns and being the aggressor. and delivered a mean front kick to the face. Pogues seemed to have a big speed advantage, both in the feet and the hands. Wright was able to get off of the fence, but wasn’t able to make anything happen before time expired. Pauga was able to land a few more elbows, and Wright came up with a big right hand that got the attention of Jordan just before the bell.

UFC Fight Night predictions -- Jessica Andrade vs. Erin Blanchfield ... (CBSSports.com)

Andrade and Blanchfield have their eyes set on different UFC champions as they collide in a short-notice Fight Night headliner.

Going from McMann to Andrade is an absurd leap in competition and Andrade is a force to be reckoned with right now. Blanchfield performs well with elbows and knees inside the clinch, but that's a dangerous game to play with the stout and powerful Andrade. Andrade hopes to fight Zhang for the strawweight title off a win against flyweight Blanchfield, weight classes be damned. Blanchfield went from unheralded contender to the real deal at UFC 281. She's spent her time at the PI, she's done camps here, so I want to take her out to Brazil because I went to China to face her. Light heavyweights Zac Pauga and Jordan Wright are set to throwdown in the co-main event. But I don't think it's necessarily a bigger fight skill-wise. The Brazilian is filling in for Taila Santos on seven days' notice and less than a month after winning at UFC 283. Andrade bounces between the two divisions at a whim to terrorize her fellow contenders. "I went to China to face Weili. Andrade (24-9) is a gamer, pure and simple. Erin Blanchfield has championship potential while Jessica Andrade has already reach the mountaintop.

ET, then the remaining main card balance (also on [ESPN+](http://go.web.plus.espn.com/c/482924/566982/9070?subId2=%5B%5Dsb%5Bp%5D23368007%5Bt%5Dw%5Br%5Dgoogle.com%5Bd%5DD&sharedid=MMAMania)) at 7 p.m. It’s easy to forget that back when Andrade was champion, she took on Weili in her home country in a fairly short-notice booking. Andrade can end fights suddenly, so never allowing her back to the feet is optimal. Keys to Victory: Blanchfield already looks like one of the best grapplers in women’s mixed martial arts (MMA). Andrade is one of the most badass women on the roster. Once on the ground, control has to be the top priority. To avoid that fate, a bit of patience would go a long way here. She looks very much like the real deal at 125 pounds, but this remains a massive step up in competition for “Cold Blooded.” On the whole, this style match up is very reasonable for Andrade. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Flyweight standouts Jessica Andrade and Erin Blanchfield will clash TONIGHT (Sat., Feb.

Erin Blanchfield vs. Jessica Andrade in UFC's Main Event! Check out our UFC odds series for our Andrade-Blanchfield prediction and pick.

Blanchfield will still need to work on her striking game as she faces tougher competition, but she more than makes up for it with her strength in the clinch and Judo skills. Erin Blanchfield was set to take on title-challenger Talia Santos in this main event, but Santos had troubles with her VISA and had to pull out due to the conflict. If she can keep her poise in this big spot, she’ll be able to get an impressive win. The UFC was hard-pressed to save the event, but got lucky when Andrade agreed to step in on a week’s notice. With a 74% rate in her takedown defense, look for Andrade to be aggressive in the wrestling exchanges and try to throw the bigger Blanchfield off her balance. She loves to engage in the clinch and land with her dirty boxing. From there, Andrade is always eager to welcome a fight to the ground as she has a seasoned and dangerous jiu-jitsu game. She devastates her opponents with a flurry of punches and is super aggressive when she begins to land. “Cold Blooded” has shown that she is the next big thing in women’s MMA and will certainly be making a huge statement if she can once again be dominant against one of the best of all time. Jessica Andrade will be coming into this fight after having won her bout against Lauren Murphy just a month ago. The UFC matchmakers got lucky with this matchup, you won’t want to miss a second of this main event! 3 ranked Jessica Andrade will make the quick turnaround and step in on short notice to face talented young prospect No.

[Saint Preux](/athlete/Ovince-Saint-Preux), and from there, “Monstro” made sure to not let him back into the fight. She’s 5-2-1 overall in the UFC, and has established herself as a dark horse contender in the 135-pound weight class. Blanchfield was quick to pull the trigger on a number of nasty combinations with several shots tagging Andrade and snapping her head backwards. Blanchfield’s reach was giving Andrade problems as the Brazilian kept coming up a little short when she stepped into the exchanges. UFC Vegas 69: Jessica Andrade vs. Erin Blanchfield - Winners and ... (Bloody Elbow)

It seems as if the jury is in on 23-year-old Erin Blanchfield and the verdict is that she is ready to face the top of the UFC women's flyweight division.

Ovince Saint Preux: UFC veteran Ovince Saint Preux dropped to 1-3 with the UFC since December 2020 with a knockout loss to Philipe Lins. That sounds great, but when the majority of UFC Fight Night cards fall into that category as of late, a maybe isn’t enough to tune into ESPN+ (nearly) every weekend. Whatever the case, Andrade squandered an opportunity to put herself in the title picture at 125 pounds with her submission loss to Blanchfield at UFC Vegas 69. Sanko deserves to be in the regular rotation of UFC color commentators. Laura Sanko: In her first color commentary gig on a UFC card that didn’t take place in the middle of the night, Laura Sanko avoided the fate of some of the promotion’s other commentary team members — saying something that took away from the broadcast. Lins has back-to-back UFC victories since he moved to LHW with the promotion. To Miller’s credit, he never took his foot off the gas, which might have been to his detriment, but Miller, throughout his long UFC career, has always been a fighter who looks for a finish as we found out when he nearly found the submission in the closing seconds of the third round. Bueno Silva is confident on her feet and patient and a scary fighter on the mat. The former Invicta FC competitor moved to 5-0 with her second-round submission win over former UFC women’s strawweight champion Jessica Andrade in the main event of UFC Vegas 69. During that time I’ve been beating the drum that the UFC matchmakers had no reason to rush her up the flyweight ranks because of her age. 10 ranked fighter in the official UFC flyweight rankings. Blanchfield looked excellent in defeating the favored Andrade, who was coming off a one-sided shellacking of Lauren Murphy in January.
