Six goals seems like a high-enough threshold for savvy bettors to consider the under. On the two previous occasions, they lost multiple games after the streak came to an end. The only noteworthy injury on the Calgary side is to top-pairing defenseman Rasmus Andersson. Coming off an impressive 7-2 win in Buffalo on Saturday, the Flames will be looking to log consecutive victories for the first time in more than three weeks. Markstom and Daniel Vladar have been splitting duties lately and Markstrom got the win in Buffalo. Vladar is tracking about the same as last season with a solid 11-5-4 record, despite -2.0 goals saved above expected. The Flames are tied with the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild with 60 points, but because Calgary has more games played, they slot into ninth place in the Western Conference, just below the playoff bar. Calgary sits third overall and first in the Western Conference in expected goals share at 5-on-5 (54.40%).

[Karel Vejmelka](https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/v/vejmeka01.html?utm_medium=linker&utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&utm_campaign=2023-02-10_hr), despite the awful team in front of him, continues playing fantastically between the pipes. In their first matchup, the Sabres blew the Kings out of the water by a 6-0 score. That said, they’re trending in the right direction and may want to hold their cards. Neither franchise sits in a great spot in the standings though, so the game feels like the least exciting one on the docket. Tim Stutzle was the overtime hero Monday night as the Ottawa Senators scored three unanswered goals to stun the Calgary Flames 4-3.

Ottawa's Austin Watson returned to the lineup after being a healthy scratch the last three games. Brady Tkachuk, Drake Batherson and Alex DeBrincat also scored for the Senators (25-24-3), while Stutzle drew assists on all the goals.
