Nike sues Lululemon

Nike is claiming patent infringement related to Lululemon's sale of the Chargefeel Mid, Chargefeel Low, Blissfeel and Strongfeel sneakers.

The complaint noted similarities between the technology enabling users to compete with other users, record their performance and target specific exertion levels. [ Lululemon released Blissfeel](https://www.cnbc.com/2022/03/08/lululemon-footwear-marks-new-product-to-take-on-nike-adidas.html), its first-ever running shoe for women, in March, marking the company's official foray into the sneaker market. Nike also took legal action against [Skechers](https://solecollector.com/news/2016/06/skechers-responds-nike-lawsuit) in 2016, claiming that the brand violated its Flyknit patents. Nike highlights its Flyknit-related patents in the suit, alleging that Lululemon’s infringing products include “at least” the Chargefeel Mid, Chargefeel Low, Blissfeel, and Strongfeel sneakers (pictured above). Nike sued Lululemon on Monday, alleging that at least four of the latter's footwear products infringe on Nike's patents.

Lululemon refused to stop producing and selling the product after receiving a letter from Nike in November 2021 informing it of the claim.
