Leafs' Marner gives impassioned speech about mental health (Daily Hive)

On the night he scored a spectacular overtime winner for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Marner turned the attention to "mental health day."

“It’s just weird atmosphere, it’s a weird vibe you get sometimes, it’s something that still kind of goes in your mind every once in a while when you’re getting in a car late [at] night or something,” Marner added. “Sometimes incidents happen that you need to express yourself and talk to people about and I think that’s something that I’ve really done a great job of these last couple years is not being afraid to reach out and talk about it, and just try to understand myself better.” just really weighs on you mentally if you don’t talk about it and don’t really express yourself,” Marner said.

À l'approche d'un important jalon de sa carrière, John Tavares en a-t-il encore beaucoup à donner ?

» Tavares a commencé sa carrière dans la LNH avec les Islanders de New York et a été nommé capitaine de cette formation en 2013. The Best Toronto Maple Leafs Game Since 2015-16 (Editor In Leaf)

Overall, I have to say, it was fun to leave the working class behind for an evening and getting to act like a silly millionaire, sipping on $14 beer hanging with fat-cats. I met a Rangers fan who enjoyed jeering all the rich fat-cats in our section, and there was a crazy guy who spent most of the game unsuccessfully cheerleading our section with his back to the ice. I have two brothers, so I only got to go a third of the time, but it was clearly a lucky break, since I haven’t gone since he retired. At the ACC I had centre ice reds to see the Panthers, and the Leafs lost 8-0. When I was a kid, my dad used to get tickets all the time from work. Typical that we got spring weather for a month leading up to the game, but whatever, it just made it more of an adventure.

Sebastian Korda says he is “the worst athlete” in his high-achieving sporting family, but with a little help from tennis legend Andre Agassi the rising American is working hard to change the dynamic. “We stepped on the gas a little bit,” Nylander said. HockeyBuzz.com - Jan Levine - Rangers blow lead in third, lose in ... (Hockeybuzz.com)

The Rangers played an uneven game against the Maple Leafs on Wednesday. Fairly even in the first period, though they ended the frame down 1-0.

Jones did not make the most of the chances he received with the parent club, nor has he shown the hoped for growth in the minors. If the Kid Line remains intact and plays as they did the other night, Gallant has to utilize that trio move, especially if the top line is not excelling. But their performance also begs the questions of why didn't Gallant roll with this line more down the stretch and why didn't he move Kakko up to the top line and double shift him instead of using Vesey? . That move would have nothing to do with Trocheck's struggles 5x5, which have resulted in not lighting the lamp since January 1, a span of 10 games. But the PP has hit the skids. With Kreider, he has not looked great since coming back from the injury that sidelined him a week.
