At least Moreno had the benefit of fighting Kai Kara-France between his third fight with Figueiredo and the latest iteration of the matchup. The most intriguing name in that collection right now would be Alexandre Pantoja. The win gave Moreno the advantage in their series, which was tied at 1-1-1 after three epic fights. My plan is to make a statement in this one. The victory came in a somewhat anti-climactic finish. The two fighters picked up right where they left off with several interesting grappling exchanges early on.

Figueiredo was looking to defend his flyweight title against Moreno at UFC 283, but the fight was waved off when the Brazilian couldn't see out of his eye.

Figueiredo was being outgrappled by Moreno and did land some good elbows off of his back, but was likely down two rounds and needed to change his gameplan.

Moreno concluded a historic quadrilogy by forcing the doctor to stop the fight because of a nasty cut on the eye.

However, replays showed that Figueiredo was poked in his left eye, proving the damage done to his right eye was due to Moreno's sharp left hand. A bit of controversy sparked as Moreno accidentally poked Figueiredo's eye following the thunderous shot.
