The Canadian, who won twice last season, is looking for her 13th title on the LPGA Tour.

She will be chasing her 13th LPGA Tour title. “That’s the best feeling that there is.” She has long embraced this event as an exciting start to the year — socialite-turned-deejay Paris Hilton was driving around a bedazzled cart Saturday afternoon — but said pivoting to a “normal” LPGA Tour-style Sunday is going to be good for her confidence. Henderson, meanwhile, birdied both par fives on the front nine to go out in 2 under. “I still was hitting the ball very well and giving myself a lot of opportunities, so no complaints there.” [Skip Advertisement]

The best round of the day was posted by Hataoka, who made birdies on seven of her last 10 holes for a 66. She’s been the leader or tied for the 54-hole lead 10 times in her career and won on eight of those occasions. The 30 putts she needed was the most of the first three days but still good. She did counter those by draining a slippery 18-footer on the 16th hole, pushing her score to 14 under for three rounds. For the third consecutive day, Henderson started her birdie binge on the par-5 second. I still was hitting the ball very well and giving myself a lot of opportunities, so no complaints there.”
