Jaylen Brown is questionable for the NBA Finals rematch between the Boston Celtics and Golden State Warriors, while Andre Iguodala, James Wiseman, ...
Just as with Kuminga, this injury has kept Wiseman out for longer than we expected. Shortly after signing the deal, he tore his ACL, which would have kept any team from signing him if he were still a free agent. Similarly, Green still has a chance at returning against the Cavs, and we should certainly see him back next week at the latest. And while the starting lineup will be back to normal with Klay Thompson re-entering the lineup following a rest day on Monday, the Dubs will [still be without a handful of players](https://www.goldenstateofmind.com/2023/1/18/23561733/jonathan-kuminga-jamychal-green-scrimmaged-wiseman-did-not-as-all-three-remain-out-vs-celtics). This will be his eighth straight game missed, though Steve Kerr said on Wednesday that there’s a chance Kuminga plays on Friday against the But being held out of the front end, with soreness, suggests that Iguodala is dealing with an actual ailment, and probably won’t play Friday, either.
Warriors vs Celtics: The second and final scheduled matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics takes place.
The Golden State big man has been an absolute machine on the glass this season, and the mark of 8 is almost too easy. I like the 4-mark for Tatum in this game tonight. [the Celtics are currently the best team in the Eastern Conference ](https://www.foxsports.com/nba/boston-celtics-team-standings)and have the best record in the NBA. The Celtics have to score in this one too, so I like Jayson Tatum’s assists tonight. You could spice up this parlay with crazier props, but if you’re looking to make some quick cash, take this bet. This simple four-leg parlay comes out to +553 total odds. The Warriors love to show the three-ball, which is precisely what they will do tonight against Boston. This game is expected to be high-scoring, and Curry will get his shots. With Chef Curry returning just over a week ago to the Warriors lineup, Steph has again started scoring in buckets. If this matchup plays out like the last few times these teams have met, I expect Curry to score at least 30 points. Earlier in the season, when these two teams met in San Francisco, the Warriors took another game from the Celtics, 123-107. Boston is flourishing this season under new Head Coach Joe Mazzulla and star Jayson Tatum is having an MVP-like season.

Tatum is set at O/U 32.5 points tonight, which likely drops if Brown is cleared to play. Brown is having a career year, averaging 27.2 points and 7.1 rebounds. Curry is averaging 25.0 points in four games since returning from an 11-game injury absence. Stephen Curry was brilliant with 34 points, seven rebounds and seven assists and would win Finals MVP.
Grading Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, and the rest of the Golden State Warriors in the team's 121-118 overtime loss to the Boston Celtics in an ...
There are some players who would pout or not give it their all after being moved to the bench for a matchup, but not Looney. His offense has regressed a bit recently, but he still played really well. What he lacked in efficiency he made up for with quarterbacking, gravity, and defense. Klay was electric out of the gates, dropping in some early threes and finishing the first half with 20 points. He’s struggled so much to score since returning from injury: in the six games since coming back, he’s shot 32-for-91 (35.2%) from the field, 10-for-41 (24.4%) on threes, and 9-for-16 (56.3%) on free throws. It was perhaps the best road performance of the year for the Dubs, and they held a lead for almost the entire game. One of his best in a long time. So in a game where they finally showed up on that end of court, Green deserves a lot of credit. But against the team with the best record and net rating in the league, it wasn’t quite enough, as a Jaylen Brown three tied the game in regulation, and Boston took control in overtime. Post-game bonus: Tied for the worst plus/minus on the team. I wouldn’t say his defense was quite at the level that it was during the NBA Finals, when he defended Jayson Tatum about as well as anyone ever has, but it was still an impressive and strong defensive showing for him. He’s definitely looking like his old self.

There was only one thing left to say at the end of the Boston Celtics' 121-118 overtime victory against the Golden State Warriors Thursday night: Seven more ...
The structure of the Warriors' loss evokes all sorts of emotions. Boston can't hang with a lot of their off-ball movement on offense, and they really know how to get into Tatum and Brown at the defensive end. They controlled much of the game and, in many ways, seemed to defeat themselves (turnovers). The Celtics exited Thursday night The Celtics hemorrhaged familiar imperfection for most of Thursday night. In the end, you're left to juggle warring impressions. The Warriors could have used the athleticism and brute force of Jonathan Kuminga (right foot sprain), but they were not down any of their stars. Brown and Tatum combined to shoot 6-of-27 from the floor through three frames. And then he did so again while speaking with the rest of the media on-hand: Jordan Poole even had a handful of quality defensive possessions that made you want to double-check the calendar, as well as the name on the back of his jersey. Or the quarter of it. This isn't even the half of it.

You've got to close the game, especially on the road against a great team." The Golden State Warriors may not have a winning record, but they're very clearly a formidable team that's capable of turning it on against the top teams in the NBA. You've got to open up the floor, they've got a big front line and big wings and it just felt like we could possibly get a little boost from it." "Just wanted to open up the floor," Steve Kerr said. We just decided to keep it tight with the eight-man rotation. The Golden State Warriors did something very unexpected against the Boston Celtics on Thursday night, they changed their starting lineup and took Kevon Looney out for Jordan Poole.
