I mean, if being on grass is the reason the quarterbacks are throwing interceptions, then maybe you're onto something. Playing on turf at AT&T Stadium acclimates them to that surface, as does the turf inside of The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, but they practice daily on actual grass, outside of The Ford Center. The Cowboys have played three teams on the road with grass fields and lost all three – at Philadelphia, Green Bay and Jacksonville.
The Tennessee Titans host the Dallas Cowboys in Thursday Night Football this week with both teams still technically able to clinch their divisions.
The Cowboys are stopped at 3rd and 1 to go for the field goal instead of a touchdown. Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons is dealing with a hand injury, but is active for the game against the Titans tonight. Tennessee has lost five games in a row, and the odds are not in their favor against the Cowboys tonight either. Titans at 3rd and 6. He FUMBLES the ball and recovers it and then nearly tosses an interception. That brings us to the 2-minute warning in the 1st half. The Titans are down by 7 with 1:04 left in the 1st half. Bullock made the 29-yard attempt to make it a 4-point difference to end the 1st half. Prescott lobs it into the endzone 10 yards into the endzone for the touchdown. They got the ball back on an interception, but the Dallas D held them to a 37-yard field goal made by Bullock. They start out with a few short gains to set up 3rd and 6. Schultz, wide open in the end zone, caught the pass from Prescott 6 yards for the touchdown.

Dak Prescott and the Cowboys overcome a second quarter of miscues and mistakes to defeat the Titans, 27-13.
Prescott's first completion of the series was a strike to Hilton, who turned up-field to pick up a total of 28 yards. Despite the line shuffling, Dallas didn't skip a beat, completing a 10-play, 75-yard drive of its own to pay dirt. The Cowboys got a scare when Prescott appeared to have tweaked his right knee after a tackle. The Cowboys would enter the final quarter without their starting center after Tyler Biadasz had his right leg rolled up on during the last snap of the third quarter. But it would be Elliot earning the touchdown on a 1-yard run, which extended his streak of rushing scores to nine consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NFL. While the ball fell incomplete, Tennessee was called for pass interference, the result a whopping 51-yard penalty to the Titans' 6-yard line. In the game's final two quarters, though, he was good on 12 of 16 attempts for 137 yards with two touchdowns, nearly doubling his final rating to 85.6. No fault of Prescott's, the perfectly thrown pass bounced off the chest and hands of rookie tight end Peyton Hendershot and into the arms of safety Kevin Byard. Overall, Dallas outgained the Titans, 361 to 317, and held the time of possession, 33:26 to 26:34. Just four seconds into the second frame, Dallas had a 10-0 advantage. Throw in Titans quarterback Joshua Dobbs making his first career start and this had the makings of a Dallas blowout. Instead, the Cowboys continued a disturbing trend of seemingly playing down to their competition's level at times.
Dallas inched a little bit closer to the Eagles on the road, but Philadelphia still controls its own destiny in the title race.

The second was right to safety [Kevin Byard](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/2574056/kevin-byard) as the Cowboys were looking to put up points late in the first half.
This time, with the Cowboys holding onto a 17-13 lead, the offense had just lost center Tyler Biadasz to an ankle injury, forcing three moves across the line.
Titans' false start forces punt – Down by 11 early in the fourth, the Titans had fourth-and-5 at the Cowboys' 40-yard line and had their offense on the field to go for it. But on the first play with the new lineup, Dak Prescott not only hit Schultz for a 6-yard catch, but a roughing the passer penalty on Monty Rice tacked on another 15 yards and put the ball on the Tennessee 26-yard line. Roughing the passer on Titans – After Hilton had extended the drive with a catch-and-run for 28 yards on third down, it was more penalty yards against the Titans. Wilson redirects momentum with sack – After the Cowboys grabbed a 10-0 lead, the Titans tried to get back in the game early in the second quarter after a long pass to Racey McMath. Hilton had a 9-yard reception to move the sticks, allowing the Cowboys to stay on the field and eventually score a 1-yard touchdown by Ezekiel Elliott to get on the board. – The 51-yard pass interference penalty in the third quarter was a game-changer as Michael Gallup drew a penalty at the Tennessee 6-yard line on a third-and-19 play.

Prescott capped a 75-yard drive with his second TD pass to Schultz for a 24-13 lead early in the fourth. Prescott took advantage of the ailing Titans defense, finding CeeDee Lamb for 11 catches for 100 yards. That gave Prescott a career-high 14 picks, tying him with now-benched Raiders quarterback Derek Carr for most in the NFL. Dallas was flagged three times for 35 yards, and Vrabel made clear he thought an official missed a pass interference when Titans rookie Treylon Burks was held. That forced Connor McGovern to slide over from left guard, Tyler Smith from left tackle to guard with Jason Peters coming in for Smith. This game was meaningless for Tennessee in the standings, with next week's regular-season finale at Jacksonville deciding the AFC South title. They have 22 players on injured reserve and lead the NFL using at least 83 different players. Starting a two-game road swing to wrap up the regular season with a victory is all that matters. “This was a game we needed to get, and we got it done," Dallas coach Mike McCarthy said. Ezekiel Elliott had a a 1-yard touchdown run, his ninth straight game with a rushing TD. (AP) — Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys know they have some things to clean up. 5 seed in the NFC.

Sure, the Titans did the same thing, but obviously they were singing a different tune all week long, considering they didn't have to win this game to keep their playoff hopes alive. Sure, a loss would've ended their slim chances of winning the NFC East, and for that reason alone they had to go out and take care of business – which they did. They know the Eagles will probably win one of their last two games, forcing them into the No. They know the Titans were resting many of their best players. The turnovers continue to pile up, the tackling was spotty and once again the pass rush wasn't a major factor. In fact, I went around the locker room after the game and heard the players singing a little different tunes.
