Warriors vs 76ers Picks and Predictions: They Don't Want War (Covers.com)

NBA odds, picks, and predictions for the Golden State Warriors at Philadelphia 76ers on December 16. NBA betting best bet and free pick analysis.

That’s contributed to the Over cashing in all five of the Warriors’ last five road games. 231.5 seems like a gigantic Total when you consider that Philadelphia is the fifth-ranked defense in the NBA and that Golden State has, at times, been one of the best defensive teams of this era. And even when fully healthy, the Wells Fargo Center is one of the few arenas where Golden State has consistently underperformed in recent years. The Warriors' defense has been getting better recently even in the absence of Wiggins, but I don’t know that much about that is sustainable. In addition to the 76ers’ recent streak, Golden State has remained a pitiful road team. To go on the road to upset a Philadelphia 76ers team that has won three in a row and started to click. Good teams win at home, great teams win on the road, and the Warriors right now cannot beat a quality opponent away from their own barn. The 76ers +7.7 net rating over the last two weeks ranks, fourth in the NBA, and they’ve had the third-best offense in that same span. And they prey on teams like Golden State who are shaky away from home, leading to a 5-0 ATS record in their last five home games against teams with a losing road record. Or will a blowout loss to Philadelphia signal the beginning of the end for this Golden State season? It would be almost impossible to overstate the impact that losing Steph Curry will have on this Golden State Warriors team. On the season then, the Warriors are +145 when Steph plays and -127 when he sits.

NBA picks today: Warriors vs. 76ers prediction, odds, over/under ... (DraftKings Nation)

We go over some of the best betting options for Friday's matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers.

The 76ers are on fire right now offensively, averaging 129 points per game in the last three. The Warriors are missing their engine but they’ve averaged almost 115 points per game on the road. Jordan Poole and Klay Thompson should do enough to push this number over, especially if Philadelphia keeps scoring the way it has lately. Take the home team to keep its winning ways going. Golden State does have some experience playing without Curry from last season and should be able to make up some of his production but not having Wiggins really hurts. Draymond Green is questionable with a quad issue.

Warriors vs. 76ers Odds, Pick, Prediction: Bet Joel Embiid & Co. to ... (The Action Network)

Action Network contributor Kenny Ducey previews how to bet Friday night's matchup between the Warriors and 76ers.

[25th](https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/opponent-shooting?dir=D&sort=Less%20Than%205%20ft.%20FG%20PCT) in the NBA with a 66.6% field goal percentage allowed. The content on this page is for informational purposes only. We may be compensated for the links provided on this page. Given the glaring weakness of the Warriors down low and their bevy of injury concerns, I think it makes sense to lay these points with the Sixers. The Warriors’ bench has been outscore by 100 [points](https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/props/points) this season, per [NBA Advanced Stats](https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/traditional?DateFrom=&PerMode=Totals&StarterBench=Bench&dir=D&sort=PLUS_MINUS). The Sixers’ perimeter defense has been stunning to this point, allowing a league-best 32.6% shooting from deep. Form-wise, the Sixers are in really solid shape heading into this home matchup with the Warriors. [two-man lineup](https://www.nba.com/stats/team/1610612744/lineups-advanced?GroupQuantity=2) has unsurprisingly been one of the Warriors’ best this year, producing a Net Rating of +11.8. Now, they’re down their best interior defender and have to try and contain one of the league’s most prolific scorers in the paint. They’re even worse than the Warriors at defending inside of five feet, ranking This team wasn’t defending the post well to begin with, allowing 66.1% shooting inside of five feet which was among the 10 worst marks in the NBA. Now, the onus will be on Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson and a collection of role players to make up for the lost production on both ends of the floor.

Kevon Looney, Jordan Poole graded in Warriors loss to 76ers (Golden State of Mind)

Grading Kevon Looney, Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson, and the rest of the Golden State Warriors in the team's 118-106 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Not the most efficient, and he missed some open teammates, but he kept the offense moving. A few errant passes early on never made their way to the big man. He couldn’t find his offense — 1 point and 3 turnovers is ugly — but 8 rebounds in 11 minutes is ridiculous. I don’t think Poole’s assist numbers accurately depict how strong of a job he did setting up teammates in this game. He’s quickly becoming a Poole/GP2-esque player in that he’s good enough to be starting ... He was flying around everywhere in this game, which he’s been doing a lot lately. And he did all this against Joel Embiid! On the one hand, that’s understandable given that Joel Embiid is arguably the best defensive center in the NBA. Kuminga is a player who is a better rebounder than the stats indicate, as he does a lot to keep balls alive and box out players while teammates grab the ball. As always, a “B” grade represents the average performance that we expect from a player. But against Philly he had a donut in the rebound department, and it felt fitting. They’ve been awful on the road this year, and on Friday were facing the surging [Philadelphia 76ers](https://www.libertyballers.com), led by Joel Embiid and James Harden ...
