Current Alert Guelph subscribers won't have to re-subscribe to get snow plow activity or weather alerts.

"The (Alert Guelph) system will now alert subscribers about local emergencies, residential plow outs and significant weather events," the city said in a news release. Those subscribed to the existing email service will need to sign up to the Alert Guelph system in order to continue getting alerts. Current Alert Guelph subscribers don't have to do anything, and will automatically be included in the plow activity and weather alerts.
