The highly anticipated Wizarding World video game Hogwarts Legacy announces major delays for its upcoming PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases.

"Hogwarts Legacy will launch on April 4, 2023 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and on July 25, 2023 for Nintendo Switch," it wrote. Versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will launch on April 4. It also announced PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users who purchased the Deluxe Edition would no longer be granted 72 hours of early access when the title launched on their respective platforms. The official Twitter account for Hogwarts Legacy posted a disappointing update on the title's development, stating that its last-generation versions will launch two months after its release for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X Other users remained more optimistic, with some expressing their hopes that Hogwarts Legacy will use the opportunity to refine its intended gameplay experience.

Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One platforms for a few months more, and many months more for the Nintendo Switch.

It will also include everything that can be found in the Deluxe Edition, namely a Thestral mount, Dark Arts battle arena and associated cosmetics, and 72 hours early access, which means you'll be able to play the game 3 days early. Yes, I'm looking at you, [Cyberpunk 2077](/game/cyberpunk-2077). It'll also release five months after the current-gen consoles (July 25th) for the Nintendo Switch.

Avalanche Software has announced another delay for Hogwarts Legacy, and with it, fans are calling for them to cancel the last-gen versions of the game.

Sadly, Hogwarts Legacy can't seem to find a date and stick to it. At this point, we've given up on counting how many times Hogwarts Legacy has been delayed from its original release date of 2021. By petting and feeding a beast, they will give the player the magical ingredients needed to customize and upgrade their gear. The entire space can be personalized and the architecture can be changed as the player conjures objects into the space. The player then mounts an Onyx Hippogriff (a Hippogriff variant exclusive to pre-orders) to traverse the landscape as it changes to winter and the land is covered by snow. In a deeper dive of the combat, the player, wearing the Dark Arts cosmetic set, walks through the Forbidden Forest before riding a Thestral to the Dark Arts Battle Arena.
