Le réalisateur James Gunn, qui est maintenant coprésident de DC Studios avec Peter Safran, a fait l'annonce de la décision mercredi sur Twitter.

Le nom de Ben Affleck circule, mais James Gunn a seulement confirmé son envie de travailler avec lui pour un film DCU, sans donner plus de précision. Par ailleurs, la bonne nouvelle est qu’il y aura bel et bien un nouveau film mettant en vedette Superman, mais qui s’intéressera aux années de jeunesse de Clark Kent. « En octobre, on m’avait confirmé que je serais de retour », a-t-il affirmé, mais le changement de garde à la tête de DC Studios aura modifié les plans, a-t-il conclu.

L'acteur semble d'ailleurs surpris et attristé de son congédiement dans sa publication Instagram annonçant la nouvelle.
