The Toronto Maple Leafs welcome the Calgary Flames into Scotiabank Arena on Saturday night. The pregame narrative: Mitch Marner's 21-game point streak is ...
Toffoli anytime point (-110): Similarly to Kadri, Toffoli is also finding his game. Not only did he make it a point to shout out his detractors (many from Toronto) moments after winning the Stanley Cup, but he’s done plenty of scoring against his ex-team. The tenacious winger has really benefitted from the play of his linemates - Auston Matthews and William Nylander. His nine points during this stretch have all been assists. [Skip Advertisement] The pregame narrative: Mitch Marner’s 21-game point streak is garnering a lot of attention, but don’t overlook what Michael Bunting’s doing.

[Matt Murray](https://www.covers.com/sport/hockey/nhl/players/313/matt-murray) and [Ilya Samsonov](https://www.covers.com/sport/hockey/nhl/players/27475/ilya-samsonov). Considering the form of the Leafs and the unfavorable schedule spot for the Flames vs. Through 28 games, the Leafs have not played a game that has seen more than seven goals. Now the 14-14 SU Flames and their zero goal differential have to face a team that has the best point percentage in hockey over the last 30 days and hasn’t lost in regulation in 13 straight games. the Kings — a game in which the Leafs dominated and won 4-0. In two of their last three contests, their total has opened at 6.5, only to close at 6. which is a big boost, while the suspension of Pierre Engvall isn’t even worth five points in the handicap on the ML. This should be a game that the Leafs can win at 5-on-5 and that’s great news for a winger riding a point streak, but I'm not talking about Mitch Marner. The Flames are a Bottom-10 team in terms of goal production and that could sting them tonight vs. a team that's playing incredible defensive hockey. He’s got his confidence back after a slow start and has even recorded at least three shots on net in back-to-back games. The Calgary Flames come into tonight’s match vs.

The Flames travel to Toronto on the heels of a 3-1 loss in Columbus that kicked off their current three-game road trip. The Maple Leafs return to action gunning ...
The quartet of Elias Lindholm, Tyler Toffoli, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Nazem Kadri have combined to produce just 16 total points on the road this season, and just three total goals over the past seven road dates. Overall, the Flames have scored just four times during their four-game road slide, and have now managed to score more than two goals just four times through their first 11 road dates. The club has averaged an impressive 3.57 goals per game while going 10-5-1 at home, but has mustered just 2.27 goals per game on the road, where they have won just twice over their past 10 contests. However, the Maple Leafs have otherwise dominated, picking up two points in seven of 11 dates since the start of the abbreviated 2021 NHL campaign. Low scoring has been commonplace when these teams face off, with an average of just 4.31 total goals getting scored during a 12-5-2 run for the UNDER. The Flames travel to Toronto on the heels of a 3-1 loss in Columbus that kicked off their current three-game road trip.
Marner also picked up an assist in the first period to extend his franchise-record point streak to 22 games. He has 10 goals and 19 assists within that stretch.
[Michael Bunting](http://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/3149603/michael-bunting) also scored in front of a crowd of 18,857 at Scotiabank Arena. Toronto went the other way for the game’s opening goal from Matthews on an early power play for his sixth in seven games. I’ve said this a bunch of times, but he just seems to win a ton of 50/50 battles. Calgary Flames defenceman Noah Hanifin had a pair of goals in Saturday's contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs, but the second came with some controversy ...
Hanifin took the shot from just outside the left faceoff circle, throwing the puck towards the Maple Leafs' net, which goaltender Matt Murray believed was in his glove. So, as Hanifin's shot was crossing the line as a continuous play almost simultaneously to the whistle sounding, the goal was allowed. The puck was in fact loose and trickled between his pads and across the goal line as the whistle was blown.
A battle between two Canadian teams will headline Hockey Night in Canada tonight, with the Calgary Flames visiting the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The reason why we like the Maple Leafs to win comfortably, though, is because of its opponent’s anemic offence. Even a bad Flames offence should be able to pot a couple in this game. Meanwhile, Calgary hasn’t gone to overtime or a shootout in seven consecutive contests. After defence and goaltending started an impressive run where the Maple Leafs have gone 11-0-2 over their last 13, the forwards have taken over. The pregame narrative: Toronto’s forwards are picking up steam and that’s not what a Calgary team struggling to score wants to see. This stretch has included some weaker offences, however, like the Arizona Coyotes, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Montreal Canadiens.
Marner also picked up an assist in the first period to extend his franchise-record point streak to 22 games. He has 11 goals and 19 assists within that stretch.
