Armando Broja - The young striker had quite the battle with Sven Botman and was up for the battle with the Dutch defender. Was sent to wingback in the second half before returning to the centre of midfield and continued his efforts well. It was a shame he could not get closer to goal but had some impressive moments carrying the ball and offering Chelsea an outlet on the occasions they could release the ball upfield. Conor Gallagher - It was a very mixed evening for Gallagher with his defensive industry and contribution proving essential, but his struggle to retain possession when on the ball slowing Chelsea's ability to build attacks of their own. Some difficult moments but a performance he will benefit from overall. Lewis Hall - The 18-year-old had a couple of early, wayward passes but showed the same relentlessness as he did against Manchester City. Mateo Kovacic - It was a quiet outing from the Croatian midfielder who could not get on the ball in the centre of the pitch for Chelsea much like his Italian teammate. Saw more of the ball when Chelsea moved to three in midfield but was sloppy overall. He showed plenty of endeavour to get up and down the wing but had some sketchy moments up against the likes of Joe Willock. 6. The goalkeeper was comfortable in his usual business of claiming the ball in the air and making saves, however.
