Earlier Tuesday, Mainroad Alberta Contracting issued an advisory for Central Alberta that five to 10 cms of snow is forecast later Tuesday and into Wednesday.

The warning from Environment Canada came just before 4 p.m. “In anticipation, Mainroad crews are patrolling the Service Areas and snow removal operations will continue until the weather event passes, and roadways are clear and back to normal,” they said. The worst conditions are expected to occur during the day on Wednesday and the snowfall event is expected to come to an end by Thursday morning.
