Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley as some parts will get up to 100 mm of rain.
According to Environment Canada, an atmospheric river is setting up over the BC South Coast this weekend, bringing periods of rain that will gradually intensify to heavy rain overnight and into Sunday. Between 50 and 70 mm of rain will fall in most regions, but near the North Shore Mountains and Howe Sound, itโll be more in the range of 80-to-100 mm. Heavy rain is going to hit Metro Vancouver, Howe Sound, and the Fraser Valley late overnight Saturday and into Sunday night.

The Lower Mainland should see heavy rainfall begin later Saturday, with up to 70 millimetres of rain for most regions. Today's temperature in Metro Vancouver will see a high of 11C, which is on par with the average for this day in the record books, however, our nighttime low is much higher than the average of 4.8C, with tonight's temp forecast to drop only a couple of degrees down to 9C.
