It’s also very clear that Baker loves his job and enjoys the group of players he has been given with this Astros team. But it’s clear that the Astros love and respect Baker and are grateful that he is their manager. Now, Baker has taken Houston to the World Series in back-to-back years and has done so twice in his first three years at the helm. The story was very much the same in the ALCS, with the pitching being dominant and the offense providing just enough of a spark to get them to the finish line. With a 6-5 win last night over the New York Yankees in Game 4 of the ALCS, the Astros finished the job and sent the Yankees home packing.
