For the sixth year in a row, the Vancouver Canucks will celebrate Diwali โ€” one of the most popular festivals in the South Asian calendar.

And stop by section 111 to meet the Rice Rangoli artist from Diwali Celebration Society. Attendees at the popular theme night will be treated to a variety of special activities and live entertainment. Partial proceeds from all jerseys and merchandise sales will be donated to Guru Nanakโ€™s Free Kitchen (GNFK) in addition to a $20,000 donation from the Canucks for Kids Fund, a volunteer-run group in the Downtown Eastside that provides meals for free to community members. Diwali is just around the corner, and the Vancouver Canucks will be celebrating the Festival of Lights in a big way at Rogers Arena.

Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Canucks announced further details today about their upcoming Diwali Night, presented by Rogers, on October 24, 2022 against ...

Diwali is one of the most popular festivals in the South Asian calendar. Further merchandise including exclusive Canucks Diwali tote bags will be available at the Diwali Market retail stand in FIN's Family Zone (sections 101-103). The warm-up jerseys feature the Canucks' classic orca redesigned with the vibrant colours of Diwali, plus stick-in-rink and a peacock as shoulder patches. Jazzy B will also perform before the game at the Diwali Party on the North Plaza at 6:45pm. The Canucks will also wear brand new hand sewn, authentic on ice pro Diwali themed warm-up jerseys designed by local South Asian visual artist, Sandeep Johal. This will be the Canucks' sixth annual game night celebrating the diverse and vibrant culture of BC's South Asian community.
