And not long after that, Skaar was depowered by the Hulk himself under the sway of a shifty alter-ego calling himself Doc Green. His defeat at the combined hands of Hulk and Skaar finally provided a meaningful bond between that father and son pair, and ended their long love-hate dynamic. Both of those lessons are ones that cousin Bruce urged Jen to take to heart back in the show’s pilot episode, and seeing him take on another familial protégé makes a certain amount of sense, even as it adds another wrinkle to the increasingly knotty and chaotic Banner family tree. Of course, family relationships in Marvel Comics are rarely simple, and Hulk and Skaar’s father-son bonding trip was no exception. Written by Greg Pak and drawn by Carlo Pagulayan and Aaron Lopresti, that story found Earth’s heroes collectively sighing impatiently at Bruce Banner’s periodic fits of Hulked-out rage, and tricking him into an intergalactic flight that exiled him to a distant galaxy. Perhaps he will be killed by somebody and the Hulk will avenge him instead of It would be an 'Avengers' movie without being an 'Avengers' movie. But clearly, Disney has not been able to bring Universal to the table in a similar way. Written by Greg Pak and penciled by John Romita Jr, 'World War Hulk' followed the 'Planet Hulk' storyline. We do not know for sure, but perhaps a Hulk movie based on the World War Hulk storyline. A Hulk movie is long overdue, but it has not been possible. And he also has one in the comics too, also named Skaar. And the answer to this question is yes, he clearly has a son in MCU. But in the comics, he is a rage monster like his father and also dreams of killing his father as he was abandoned at Sakaar by him. However, in the show, he appeared to be friendly, even a bit timid. This is a valid, and pertinent question. Who Is Skaar? Hulk's Sakaaran Son Explained (Screen Rant)

A long-awaited new character has just been introduced to the MCU from Marvel Comics, promising big things for the Hulks of the universe. Skaar Hulk son.

[Hulk had a son in the MCU](https://screenrant.com/hulk-son-skaar-mcu-tease/) is during his time on Sakaar between Age of Ultron and Ragnarok. After all, Hulk simply turning up out of the blue in the She-Hulk finale with a son in tow was even the subject of a joke from Jen, with her stating she wants to see what happens. This, alongside the other hints at a potential Planet Hulk adaptation that is more akin to the comic story, hints that Marvel Studios are indeed planning to show exactly what Bruce got up to in space, as well as Skaar's origins. Despite this, much of Hulk's time on Sakaar was not featured, with [Ragnarok only showing the Hulk](https://screenrant.com/she-hulk-bruce-banner-skaar-thor-ragnarok-story/) in his final few days on the planet. Not a lot of Skaar is known in terms of the MCU, as his brief cameo in She-Hulk is the first mention or sighting of him. Eventually, Caiera defected to the Hulk's side after the Red King unleashed the Spikes on his army, a race of creatures that attacked Caiera's village when she was a child. Through a whole series of events that saw Sakaar consumed by Galactus, Skaar was exiled to Earth and became hellbent on killing his father. The introduction of Skaar is not just something for the MCU, however, and the character is taken straight out of the comics. Caiera was the bodyguard of a character named the Red King who ruled Sakaar. Bruce also reveals that, during this time, his then-alter ego managed to birth a son named Skaar, who is introduced to Jen, Matt, and the rest of the Walters family. The show's finale was a meta, fourth-wall-breaking ride through Marvel Studios' past, present, and future, with the ending scene providing the most hints of the latter through Hulk and Skaar. Hulk states that he has been off-world on Sakaar, the planet he spent years on between

She-Hulk's Skaar Explained: The Tragic Story Behind Hulk's Son - IGN (IGN)

She-Hulk's first season ends with a major bombshell for the Hulk family, and it's one that draws on a very tragic Marvel storyline.

That said, don’t expect a direct adaptation of Planet Hulk or World War Hulk in the MCU. Previous episodes showed a Sakaarian messenger arriving on Earth and Hulk returning to the planet to deal with some unfinished business. The MCU’s Hulk is in a much better place. Hulk is a constantly evolving character, however, and once Skaar finally arrives he realizes the “Green Scar” who ruled Sakaar is no more. It was one of his own warriors who sabotaged the ship, and his son Skaar has survived. In both the comics and the MCU, Hulk spends a good deal of time away from Earth and smashing his way to victory in Sakaar’s gladiator arena. He eventually defeats his nemesis, the warlord Axeman Bone, and vows to travel to Earth and kill his absentee father. He also doesn’t usurp the throne of Sakaar, though he and Thor wind up helping speed along the Grandmaster’s downfall by the time they escape the planet. As the son of two of the greatest warriors in the universe, Skaar is no slouch himself. Planet Hulk deals with Hulk’s arrival on Sakaar, after the Illuminati banish him from Earth in order to protect humanity from his wrath. Hulk is back from the planet Sakaar, and he’s brought his son with him. World War Hulk itself is one piece of Pak’s much larger Hulk saga, which began in 2005’s Planet Hulk.

Who is Skaar in She-Hulk? In the last episode of the season, Jen speaks to her AI robot KEVIN in a fourth wall breaking moment where she criticises the show’s writing. Skaar is played by 19 year old American actor Wil Deusner - he has previously appeared in several other shows. Hulk had been called back to Sakaar in an earlier episode in the series and presumably met his son during this return. As is seen in Thor: Ragnarok, time works differently on Sakaar, which explains how Hulk’s son is clearly in his late teens at the very least (She-Hulk is set eight years after the events of Ragnarok). Skaar was introduced in the Marvel comics during the Planet Hulk storyline, making his first appearance in 2007.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has finally introduced the son of Hulk, and he's played by an actor who recently starred in another superhero show.

Nevertheless, Wil Deusner's MCU character will be able to explore the legacy of the Hulk in ways that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law can't. He may even be brought into [the very likely "Young Avengers" lineup](https://www.cbr.com/three-thousand-years-longing-george-miller-young-avengers-mcu/), replacing Hulkling as the Hulk stand-in of the group. It would seem that some of that potential is being rearranged, however, given how much calmer this incarnation of Skaar is compared to the comics. By bringing the son of the Hulk to the small screen, Deusner is sure to have an even bigger role up ahead. In the past two years, he played Joey Zarick, a character on the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has not been shy about bringing in various heroes and villains from throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with many of these plot elements having some basis in the original comic books.

Hulk's Son Skaar Almost Looked WAY Different In She-Hulk Finale (The Direct)

She-Hulk director Kat Coiro shared that Hulk's son almost looked different in the show's finale.

Based on his look, it seems that he is not thrilled with the idea of joining Bruce Banner's family, thus hinting at his resentment. In the comics, World War Hulk centered around the titular hero as he seeks revenge against the Illuminati for banishing him to Sakaar. Coiro revealed that she had an idea to reveal Skaar as a toddler, similar to Grogu from The Mandalorian. They were incredibly self-deprecating and incredibly willing to poke fun at themselves.” This resentment could be one of the ways which villains such as the Leader could exploit to turn him into a rampaging beast that the Hulk and She-Hulk will eventually need to stop in a World War Hulk movie. “I had an idea that I wanted Skaar to be a toddler, like a Baby Yoda kind of character, but I don’t think that’s where the story is headed.”

She-Hulk: Who Is Skaar? (Game Rant)

The newest Disney Plus Marvel series finished its first season with a bang, but who's the new Hulk introduced in its final moments?

Skaar probably won't commit quite as much genocide in his MCU iteration, but his presence in the MCU, along with Hulk's return to Sakaar, implies that fans will get to see more of Banner on the alien world. Skaar immediately uses his power to destroy the planet, forcing Silver Surfer to heal it, which allows Skaar to enslave the Surfer. When Skaar finally meets his dad, they initially fight, but Hulk eventually becomes a mentor to his boy. [that allowing Galactus to eat](https://gamerant.com/mcu-galactus-actors/) the empty planet would quell his hunger for 100,000 years, saving untold billions of lives. The comics introduce a classic hero's son as a monster who is willing to knowingly commit and enable genocide in exchange for the chance to kill an enemy who barely inconvenienced him. Hulk's reign was short-lived, however, as the ship he arrived in explodes, destroying most of the planet and sending Banner back to Earth on a revenge quest. Skaar's mother Caiera appeared to him as a specter to ensure he would always defend the people of Sakaar, then the young Hulk Jr. Her name is Caiera, and she was the bodyguard of the former king. But, instead of a road trip to Asgard and a battle with Cate Blanchett, comic book Hulk overthrew the local monarch and took the throne for himself. The character doesn't have a ton of important appearances in the comics, but his existence guarantees some events took place and makes it likely that the Hulk will finally get his own MCU entry. She-Hulk has been a fun legal comedy with some superhero elements and plenty of familiar faces, but the introduction of Skaar in the final episode suggests some interesting directions. The sudden introduction of Skaar would suggest that the 2006 crossover event is likely to come up in the movies soon.
