'Saturday Night Live' began Season 48 with a sketch that reunites 'Top Gun: Maverick" stars Miles Teller and Jon Hamm.
The next two episodes of the season will premiere Oct. The behind-the-scenes ranks of “SNL” also faced a significant loss after producer Lindsay Shookus “Saturday Night Live” stars Gardner, Fineman, Yang, Day, Thompson, Strong, Dismukes, Punkie Johnson, Ego Nwodim and Michael Che and Colin Jost as the Weekend Update co-hosts. “Sometimes they need to bring in a real celebrity when the host isn’t that famous,” Hamm said. In addition, the show also streams live on Peacock. “Saturday Night Live” airs live coast-to-coast on NBC, from 8:30 p.m. During the show, many fans additionally noticed the absence of Cecily Strong — currently the second longest tenured cast member after Kenan Thompson — from both sketches and the opening credits, leading to some speculation that she left the show with no announcement. Morales and the Big Steppers.” When Teller questions White’s cameo, Hamm breaks down “SNL’s” logic for including other stars in the opening sketch. “That might be the only time we see him tonight,” Dismukes said. But the sketch-within-a-sketch proved to be a typical opening for the program, with James Austin Johnson reprising his role as Donald Trump in a sketch located at the Mar-a-Lago club during Hurricane Ian. “There are a lot of changes at the show, which could be exciting,” Teller said.

- Another problem with the show is how it deals with the immediacy of social media. A lot of the jokes it made have already played out on Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok. “Rooftop Bar,” the second segment of the night that focused on men’s inability to respectively or coherently communicate with women, was somehow more of a failure than the first. Even in bad ones like “Charmin Bears” and “Send Something Normal,” he manages to find some level of humor. Best sketch of the night It was pointless, almost exclusively relying on fecal humor and played-out family dynamics, and the climax appeared to just be Teller and Bowen Yang dancing in bear costumes.

Miles Teller's Peyton Manning impression is scary good. Teller appeared as Manning when he hosted "Saturday Night Live."
“Saturday Night Live” and a lot of other entertainment options have turned to junk and suffered serious brain rot thanks to politics. The writers also acknowledged that people have grown tired with the political nonsense and preaching. Miles Teller nailed every single part of that impression.
In his Saturday Night Live monologue, Miles Teller lived out a literal childhood dream, and he brought the home video to prove it.
What was so wonderful about his monologue though is that it was made clear that Teller loves Saturday Night Live. Something that Teller said in his monologue because he did say that it is not every day that you make a movie that pleases both the military community as well as the gay community (because yes, Top Gun: Maverick does also include a homoerotic scene on the beach. His monologue talked a lot about Top Gun: Maverick, the sequel to the 1986 film Top Gun that brought back Tom Cruise as Maverick, a fighter pilot with a need for speed.
SNL parodies ESPN's ManningCast to introduce new cast members, and Teller is shockingly a perfect Peyton Manning!
I’d say the only way to differentiate the two would be to have them throw a football, but did you see Maverick? Miles Teller kicked off "Saturday Night Live" Season 48 with a nostalgic home video that revealed he's an "SNL" superfan.

SNL kicked off its 48th season with a Manningcast spoof during which Miles Teller played Peyton Manning.
The two will be on the air for ESPN's "Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli" for the 49ers vs. SNL's nod to the Manningcast was certainly a fun one, and it will be fun to see if the real Manning brothers say anything about it on their next broadcast. Teller and Dismukes jokingly counted "stats" from the show's first segment. He broke down the sketch, which included a "gratuitous celebrity appearance" from retired X Games star Shaun White, and explained what he had seen during the show. Host Miles Teller — who is often said to look like a long-lost Manning brother — played the role of Peyton Manning while SNL cast member Andrew Dismukes played Eli Manning. Teller and Dismukes poked fun at the Manningcast in their roles.

Guest host Miles Teller played professional football legend Peyton Manning in the cold open of this weekend's "Saturday Night Live" Season 48 premiere.

Saturday Night Live returned for the 48th season, and they kicked it off with a great Broncos legend Peyton Manning impression from Miles Teller.
The skit was great, and many people got a kick out of watching it. The show often pokes fun at a variety of shows, trends and topics to entertain an audience, so it’s no surprise they included the Manning brothers. Teller had the same mannerisms and delivery as Peyton, so his impression was truly phenomenal and comical.
I'm a HUGE Peyton and Eli fan. If it were up to me, the ManningCast would take over the lead broadcast on Monday Night Football, and Joe Buck's ass can move ...
I can’t remember the last time I thought an SNL sketch was funny, but this was GREAT. And the ladies were getting some “Hot Peyton” vibes from Teller as well: or off the air all together.
