Bills vs Ravens Week 4 Picks and Predictions: Bateman Blasts Off ... (Covers.com)

NFL odds, picks and predictions for Buffalo Bills vs Baltimore Ravens. NFL betting best bet and game analysis.

Jackson could see plenty of men in coverage which will be much different than the Miami and New England defenses he saw as those two clubs rank in the Bottom 10 in blitz percentage. Offensively, both clubs sit in the Top 5 in EPA/play but some bad defenses might be inflating these numbers — especially for the Ravens. This is a receiver who leads all of football in yards per catch (28.3), is first in YAC/catch (14.9), and is fourth in yards per target (14.1) in a game that has the highest total of Week 4. The Ravens could be 3-0 themselves but allowed the Dolphins to pass for 461 yards in Week 2. Combined, both teams come into Sunday’s Week 4 game 3-3 O/U. If Buffalo wins last week and Baltimore doesn’t get all those turnovers, this line would be longer than BUF -3. The Bills dominated Week 3 vs. a Baltimore defense that has allowed at least 300 yards passing in all three games this season. Outside of Andrews, Bateman has twice as many targets as the next Baltimore WR and is primed for a big game. the Dolphins. He can hit this Over in a low-volume role but I’m projecting a larger target share in Week 4 with Andrews’ tough matchup. [NFL picks and predictions](https://www.covers.com/nfl/picks) for Bills vs.

Bills vs. Ravens: 3 Halftime Thoughts From Baltimore (Sports Illustrated)

The Buffalo Bills are facing another test of their mettle under the stormy skies of Baltimore. How they respond could pave the pace for the road ahead.

Hungry for more Buffalo Bills news? Are you a member of Bills Mafia? Dobbins, starting to find his NFL land legs after a prolonged injury absence. After Devin Singletary's lost fumble set up Baltimore in prime scoring territory (though the makeshift defense, assisted by penalties, limited the damage to a Justin Tucker field goal), it's hard to blame them. Now they need to cool down a Baltimore offense that's enjoying contributions from J.K. Granted yet another early deficit, we might learn what the Bills are truly made of in the second half.

Buffalo had scored a touchdown on its opening possession in eight straight games, playoffs included, but that streak ended when Allen was intercepted in the first minute of the game. The Ravens didn’t do much offensively in the second half until Jackson led them from their own 5 all the way to Buffalo’s 1 in the fourth. Allen threw for 213 yards and a touchdown with an interception, and Jackson passed for 144 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. Buffalo controlled the third quarter and tied it on Allen’s 11-yard touchdown run. That streak is over, but the Bills snapped a seven-game skid in games decided by seven points or fewer. Two straight runs failed to reach the end zone, and Baltimore decided to go for it on fourth down from the 2. Top 3 things we learned from Bills vs. Ravens | Week 4 (BuffaloBills.com)

Second half resurgence, Edmunds and Milano lead defense, Jordan Poyer returns with a bang. Check out Chris Brown's observations from Baltimore.

But the offense still had to drive the length of the field to get in position for the game-winning points. "I was just hustling to the ball, trying to stay square, trying to get him down anything I can do to get him down," said Milano of his takedowns of Jackson. "But as we got through the game, and you started to see plays repeat themselves, we were able to kind of settle down and see the same plays over and over again. The new set of downs allowed the Bills to kneel out the remaining clock until there were three seconds left for Tyler Bass to come on and kick the game-winning 21-yard field goal for the walk-off victory. And we were able to make the plays when we had to." "All you can do is just keep going, taking it play by play, and execution fuels the team," said Devin Singletary, who finished with 96 all-purpose yards to rebound from a fumble in the first half. Matt being able to just cover, tackle, playing the gaps and both of them playing downhill. "It was kind of one of those balls that was in the air, it seemed like for 30 minutes. The problem was Poyer read Jackson's intentions and took off for Duvernay arriving in time to pull in his second interception of the game. After the defense forced a three-and-out on the first Ravens' possession of the second half, the Bills sideline felt they had finally kicked things into gear. Late in the down without many options, Lamar Jackson spotted receiver Devin Duvernay heading to the right side of the end zone and lofted a pass in his direction. And as soon as I peeked at (Duvernay), he was kind of raising his hands up like he wanted the ball.

Ravens vs. Bills: Key takeaways from a deflating defeat (Baltimore Beatdown)

The Baltimore Ravens failed to capitalize on a chance to secure an all-important conference win, falling to the Buffalo Bills by a score of 23-20.

Winning on the road is great but the Ravens simply need to execute better down the stretch in their own stadium, as well. Of course every one game takes on its own identity in a way, too, but they all have one in common: the Ravens lost by four points or less and the game was decided in the final minutes. The second of the two was the true back-breaker. Unfortunately, that is where the Ravens currently are. Doing it twice in the span of two weeks? The issue is the lack of consistency. However, had they put together longer drives earlier in the game and executed better, that decision wouldn’t have had as much bearing in the final result. Regardless, when they jump out to big leads, the Ravens are now showing a tendency to tighten up offensively and loosen up defensively. That’s what they did, but the Ravens didn’t score any points after the three-minute mark of the second quarter. The Ravens went up big early and looked prime for a big statement victory but faltered in the second half. Just when it seemed the Ravens may retake the lead, a fourth-down interception in a goal-to-go scenario deflated a 14-play, 93-yard drive that lasted almost 10 minutes. During that span, the Bills put together two more scoring drives to even the score.

Bills at Ravens Notebook: 'Sloppy' to Super as Buffalo Shocks ... (Sports Illustrated)

Faced with the rare threat of consecutive losses, the current iteration of the Buffalo Bills enjoyed a brilliant learning experience on Sunday afternoon.

[Bills](https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/buffalo-bills-vs-dolphins-fines-tua-hit-ruling-matt-milano-josh-allen-vs-dirty-miami-player-punished) will likely play witness and obstacle to first-round pick Kenny Pickett's debut start at quarterback, as they'll face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday at home (1 p.m. That included a clutch third-down conversion where Allen escaped a relentless Baltimore rush before finding Khalil Shakir (in after Jamison Crowder was lost to an injury) for a pivotal nine-yard gain just before the two-minute warning. But he needed an effort like Sunday's second half, one where he was an indispensable part of the Bills' comeback effort. But when the Bills opted to show some faith, he rewarded them handsomely. With the Bills decimated on defense, the Ravens took early advantage: Jackson and J.K. “I just think in the first half we were a little sloppy with the football,” coach Sean McDermott said.

Ravens vs. Bills week 4 final score: Report card, grades (Baltimore Beatdown)

Another failure at home as the Baltimore Ravens fall 20-23 to the Buffalo Bills.

Clark had a struggle here and there but as I said, this loss wasn’t on the secondary. The decision to go for it on fourth down is backed by analytics and head coach John Harbaugh’s decision makes sense. This wasn’t on the corners. These are games the Ravens are relying on from Bateman to make a play. It wasn’t like the secondary allowed some insane numbers. He played well and bullied the Bills’ defense. But, there was more meat left on the bone as Allen evaded him with stiff-arms and jukes. They bullied the Bills’ defense. They also refused to call any holding on him until the fourth quarter when he was being mugged. Even excluding Jackson (who put up 73 yards alone), the Ravens running backs combined for 89 yards and a touchdown. The Ravens No. The Bills hadn’t allowed a team to rush for more than 80 yards in their first three games.

Prior to exiting the game, Crowder had been targeted four times, but had only been able to haul in one of quarterback Josh Allen’s passes for seven yards. Buffalo didn’t hesitate in listing the wide receiver as doubtful to return. After the defense forced a three-and-out on the Ravens’ first possession of the half, Bills wide receiver and punt returner Jamison Crowder fielded a 49-yard Jordan Stout punt and returned it seven yards to the Buffalo 28.
