Kyle's Big Brother 24 game came to an early end because of his problematic racial comments. Now Taylor explains why she loves Kyle despite this.
During a Big Brother episode, Taylor and Kyle had a sincere conversation about race, in which [Taylor attempted to explain](https://screenrant.com/big-brother-taylors-attitude-changed-after-first-win/) the social injustices that Black people, particularly Black women, have faced throughout history. She said that he should have saved her "if you are going to take ownership for and responsibility for holding back information that could have benefited people. I think the timing was unfortunate, and it did look like it was a game move." Fans criticized Michael for saving Brittany with the veto instead of Taylor, a Black woman, saying that if they truly cared about racial equity in the house, then they would not have left Taylor on the block. [Although Kyle did not say it outright](https://screenrant.com/big-brother-fans-thought-kyle-capener-self-evict/), his comments implied that he wanted to create an all-white alliance in opposition to the wrongly suspected BIPOC one. They felt that if Michael and Brittany were truly interested in the greater good, they would not have waited to expose Kyle until their games were in danger.
Big Brother 24 was a unique season and one of the series' most noteworthy where competitions are concerned.
He won the Week 4 HOH that helped the Leftovers stay in power and continue to control the game. Michael tied Janelle Pierzina's record for most competition wins in a season (nine) and his six veto wins were the most in a season, breaking Janelle's record of five. The first win came during Week 6, which was the first week without the Festie Bestie twist since Week 2, and the beginning of jury. Jasmine's only competition victory came when she won the second HOH of the season, the same competition where she sprained her ankle. She beat her opponent in the first round of the second week's HOH, before losing in the second round of the competition. This was partly strategic as Joseph didn't want to make himself a target and for a while, there was no need for him to win as he was so well-liked and protected by most of the house. This meant that he had to sit out the first HOH competition and was ineligible to compete in the first veto competition. Instead, Nicole went on the block as a pawn after her closest ally Daniel won the veto with his Festie Bestie Kyle, and Nicole was evicted. During Week 2, he did not advance to the second part of the HOH competition. Before her blindside eviction at the end of Week 3, Ameerah lost every competition she played in, although she fared well in a couple of the HOH competitions. The Backstage Pass meant that Paloma was ineligible to compete in the veto competition, which is the only other competition that occurred while she was still in the house. [Big Brother](https://screenrant.com/tag/big-brother/) is above all a social and strategic game, the competitions are undeniably an important part of the show as well.
