Browns look to get to back on track against the Steelers on Thursday Night Football.
Wouldn't ya know that since entering the NFL in 2018, Nick Chubb leads the NFL in rushing yards (3,791), yards per carry (5.8) and rushing touchdowns (28) on runs outside of the tackles. Another wrinkle for DC Joe Woods is the idea of blitzing Trubisky, who is completing just 33 percent of his passes for 3.9 yards per attempt and a 68 rating against the blitz. So play tight and expect the ball out quickly and the Browns should be able to contain this anemic passing attack and potentially get their hands on the ball for game changing interceptions. Last week, the Patriots gashed the Steelers on the ground, with their running backs alone rushing 24 times for 118 yards (4.9 yards per carry) and a touchdown. The Browns have been generating 5.1 yards per carry and they already have four rushing scores. So, if they can clean up those mistakes and not beat themselves, the Browns will beat the Steelers and get to 2-1.

Pittsburgh has lost the last six games in which it failed to sack the opposing QB. One can certainly justify trading Cooper on the basis of the aforementioned disconnect concerns, but with the way the Browns offense is playing it had better be for top value. The Browns offense was supposed to take a huge backwards step with Jacoby Brissett under center, but that hasn’t happened as Cleveland ranks sixth in offensive points per drive this year (2.67). The Browns have been able to do this despite facing loaded boxes quite frequently, as opposing defenses have put eight defenders in the tackle box on 44.7 percent of Cleveland’s rushing plays. Cleveland ranks first in the league expected points added (EPA) on rush attempts with a 12.49 mark in this category. Watt, who is on injured reserve. Pittsburgh also has allowed the second highest target volume to wide receivers, while Cleveland ranks tied for fourth in wide receiver touchdowns allowed. Steelers QB Mitch Trubisky warming up in familiar surroundings. If the Browns don't score early or give up a big play early, maybe some doubt will set in after last week’s defensive breakdowns.
Through two weeks, the leash on Mitchell Trubisky appears to be getting shorter, and the patience of Steelers receivers, including rookie George Pickens, ...
The Steelers will hope the Browns continue to struggle to get it together defensively. The Steelers have an excellent chance to right the ship While the Steelers have been forced to answer questions about their lagging offense, the Browns have spent the week avoiding assigning blame for their repeated defensive miscues. If I don't, it's cool because you're not going to get the ball every time." If I get the ball, it's cool. "I always have a step on somebody and my step is naturally longer than the other person, and I'm actually fast. The Steelers have heard him loud and clear, with Trubisky "I'd love to get George more involved," Canada said. He believes it's not a matter of failing to execute, but a lack of chances to make a difference, telling reporters this week he was open "90 percent of the time" in Pittsburgh's Week 2 loss to New England. ... But I'm open as soon as I get off the line." I'm always (going to) have a step and always feel like, 99 percent of the time, I'm open even though the ball gets there in the air and (the defender) gets time to catch back up. Pittsburgh has scored 27 offensive points through two games, and Trubisky has tossed two touchdown passes.

Pittsburgh claimed their first lead of the night after a 75-yard drive ended with a Trubisky touchdown on a designed run from one yard out. George Pickens made a highlight-reel one-handed catch for 36 yards to get the visitors in the red zone. Jacoby Brissett led the Browns with an efficient first half; he completed 16-of-22 passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns.
Through two games, Trubisky has completed 59.3 percent of his passes for 362 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. His lack of big-play upside is evident.

Cleveland's defense wound up scoring a very notable touchdown on a failed trick play by Pittsburgh.
However, a lower-scoring second half kept the score in check for the under to potentially hit. Pittsburgh had the ball deep in their own territory down six with nine seconds left in the game, so for their final play they called a lateral to try and pull off a miracle victory. Normally, that play will only matter to fantasy football players who have the Browns defense on their team. That was until the Steelers final play went so poorly as to push the score over the official line, breaking the hearts of under bettors everywhere and bailing out the over bettors. It did not go as planned, as the Steelers ultimately fumbled the ball at their own goal line, leading to the Browns recovering the ball in their own endzone for a defensive touchdown. The Pittsburgh Steelers once again felt the absence of T.J. Watt in Thursday night's 29-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns, dropping to 0-6 without him.
"We put in some time tonight, but at the end of the day, we know the kind of defense that we are, and we know that we have to communicate more pressure. We have to continue to be better." In six games sans Watt, Pittsburgh is averaging 1.7 sacks -- 3.5 sacks per game with the edge rusher.
PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers knew what was coming. More specifically, they knew who was coming. And it didn't matter.
The offensive line generated a little push in the running game, with the Steelers going over 100 yards for the first time this season. The Steelers have just two sacks and one turnover of the last two weeks. They have two losses two after giving up 295 yards on the ground in the span of just over 100 hours. “(The Browns) did what they wanted to,” Fitzpatrick said. They did what they wanted to do and we could not stop it.” Where the game was going, it came down to whose runner was going to get stopped first, and as a defense we did not take care of that.” Four days after New England was able to bleed the final 6:33 of a taut 17-14 win by playing keepaway with running back Damien Harris, Cleveland did much of the same. The NFL’s reigning Defensive Player of the Year worked out on the field before the game and will return at some point, though who knows what Pittsburgh’s season might look like by then. PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers knew what was coming. It might even need to find a way to score every now and then. The defense can’t simply be OK. More specifically, they knew who was coming.
