Wilson is going to get treated like any other visiting quarterback.

That being said, Wilson will still go down as one of the best and most important figures in franchise history. Wilson also recently confirmed reports that the [Broncos](https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/DEN/denver-broncos/) had tried to trade him multiple times prior to finally pulling the trigger this offseason on the deal that sent him to Denver.

Broncos QB Russell Wilson hears boos in return to Seattle on ... (USA TODAY)

On Monday, for the first time in his NFL career, Russell Wilson was a visitor in the Seahawks' stadium as the new quarterback of the Broncos.

Instead of celebrating the quarterback who gave them their only Super Bowl victory, Seahawks fans booed Wilson when he took the field during warmups. At the end of early warmups, about 90 minutes before kickoff, Wilson attracted a pack of camera persons moving around him as he exited the field.

Russell Wilson trade details: Breaking down the players involved in ... (Sporting News)

Before the 2022 NFL offseason began in earnest, there were many questions about whether there would actually be a lot of movement on the quarterback market.

The Broncos received a fourth-round pick in addition to Wilson and they spent it on an upgrade for their defensive line. The Seahawks acquiring the 31-year-old Harris was a bit of a head-scratcher, but there's no denying that he has talent. Ultimately, the Seahawks agreed to trade Wilson to the Broncos in exchange for a haul of players and picks. It's worth noting that Cross committed a whopping five penalties in just 122 preseason snaps with the Seahawks, so he could struggle out of the gate. He was a first-round pick during the 2019 NFL Draft and averaged 61 catches for 689 yards and four touchdowns per 17 games played in Denver. Because the Wilson trade occurred before the 2022 NFL Draft, a bulk of the picks exchanged between the two teams were from that year's class. Wilson wasn't the only quarterback involved in this exchange. The Russell Wilson trade was a large one, as it involved four active NFL players and six draft picks. Obviously, Wilson was the headliner in this deal. That said, the Seahawks received plenty of draft capital in exchange for their long-time signal caller. Which players were involved in the Russell Wilson trade? Wilson spent the first decade of his career as a starting quarterback for the Seahawks.

And on Monday, it will be the job of Carroll and his guys to block any Wilson MVP bid - no controversy or "livid'' feelings allowed. Our Corbin Smith has a deep dive here](https://www.si.com/nfl/seahawks/news/russell-wilson-trade-pete-carroll-denver-broncos-seattle-controversy-brian-schottenheimer-monday-preview). And [ESPN ](https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34531802/inside-russell-wilson-seattle-seahawks-drama-led-denver-broncos-trade)has another, insisting the drama is about Wilson being “livid” at coach Pete Carroll for "taking his foot off the gas'' in a 27-20 win over the Atlanta Falcons on October 27, 2019. Is this a small thing?

This is a billion-dollar business off of 'Let's ride.' At Broncos media day, during which members of the team take photos and record video for various uses during the season, Wilson was recorded in front of a green screen, uttering the phrase with different inflections. The raw, pre-edited video, which will be used for scoreboard pump-up prompts during games at Mile High, was posted by the Broncos Twitter account in June. Second of all, this is called 'branding.' Y'all folks don't know about it. Let's ride — first of all, it's a green screen. Whether it's "Go 'Hawks," "Mr.
