Both FOX and CBS get a doubleheader. Check out which four games will air in your area today.

The blue areas will get Giants-Titans. The network’s “game of the week” is Packers-Vikings, which will air in the pink area. That game will air opposite the Cardinals’ game on CBS. The blue areas get Patriots-Dolphins. The orange areas get Colts-Texans. The biggest game is 49ers-Bears, which will air in the pink areas. The blue areas will get a big AFC West game in Raiders-Chargers. The 2022 season opener already happened Thursday night with the Buffalo Bills taking down the defending champion Los Angeles Rams on NBC. Eagles-Lions will air in the blue areas and Jaguars-Commanders will get coverage in the yellow areas. The yellow areas get Browns-Panthers, while the green areas get Ravens-Jets. 1 late game for CBS is Chiefs-Cardinals, which airs in the pink areas. The largest coverage goes to Steelers-Bengals, which will air in the pink areas.

For the first full weekend of the 2022 NFL schedule, here are the odds, picks, and predictions for Week 1.

The Chargers are my Super Bowl pick because I believe in Justin Herbert and their loaded roster. That crazy 35-32 season finale makes me want to take the hook with the Raiders as we finish off our six pack of divisional underdogs. Davante Adams has left the building, and new No. Colts won the two matchups by a combined 62-3 in 2021. I was stunned when the hook became available with the Patriots earlier in the week. Last Halloween, the Eagles destroyed them in Detroit, 44-6, and I only see Philly getting better with the additions of A.J. Next is the Super Bowl loser jinx, which has seen those teams go 4-18 ATS in the following Week 1 over the past 22 seasons, per Action Network’s C Jackson Cowart. Lot of people are loving the Lions because of “Hard Knocks,” but I don’t see the translation. Another is that Brian Daboll and Wink Martindale, two AFC veterans, should know a lot more about the Titans than Mike Vrabel does about the Giants. Those numbers are hidden deep inside the unsuccessful tenures of Pat Shurmur and Joe Judge. With seven points to spare in a week when lots of crazy things happen, let’s give it a shot. I’m interested to see what the defense looks like with actual edge rushers (Carl Lawson and Jermaine Johnson) and a new shutdown corner (Sauce Gardner).

The Ravens, 49ers, Chargers, and Titans are also unanimous picks to cover the spread this week. Hogs Haven writers all like the Ravens, Commanders, Eagles, Bengals, 49ers, Chiefs, Chargers, Titans, and Broncos to win outright this week. Only two writers put a pick in for the over/under (52) and both took the over on a game that ended with a 31-10 score.

I only went Saints because I remembered that Alvin Kamara existed and that the Saints have one of the best defenses in the league. To his credit, Rodgers beat Arizona last year without his #1, but the loss of Davante Adams cannot be understated, and with a healthy Minnesota team at home, I see MIN pulling off the upset. The reason that I wanted to thank the NFL is because this is around the time of the year where the Panthers rattle off three or four wins before falling off. It’d be more complex if I had to choose between the unknown and the home team, but fortunately, everything is lining up in favor of the Vikings. The narrative around Murray is that he falls off around the second half of the season, but I’m not sure how he’ll perform without Deandre Hopkins, and so I’m going Murray in a high-scoring contest. The question now is whether I go against tradition/history and pick a team that hasn’t won week one since 2013. The difference however is that Wilson will likely still be a driving force of the offense instead of being a shell of the QB he used to be. The Bengals swept the Steelers in 2021 when Cincy had a worse o-line and Pittsburgh had a better quarterback. Even though the Bears arguably have a more exciting quarterback, what’s not arguable is that the 49ers are the superior team, and football is a team sport. I’ll eat crow if this turns into an Aaron Rodgers situation and Trey Lance is a future Hall-of-Famer in the making, but for now, it’s not a good look.

That held true for most of the game, with the Steelers limiting the Bengals to a field goal on a red-zone trip before the half, and the unit stepped up when it mattered most, strip-sacking [Joe Burrow](/players/joe-burrow/)and pushing the Bengals out of field goal range in overtime. In the end, however, there were too many missed opportunities to score more points for the Falcons as 12 of their points were off the foot of [Younghoe Koo](/players/younghoe-koo/). Mayfield scored on the ground, fired a 75-yard touchdown pass to [Robbie Anderson](/players/robbie-anderson/), and led a scoring drive to put the Panthers ahead.
