AEW All Out 2022: Results, Live Updates and Match Ratings (CNET)

Other than the clash between Moxley and Punk, arguably the biggest match at All Out is the grudge match between Chris Jericho and Bryan Danielson. Danielson was ...

That was the beginning of a sick sequence where he hit a bunch of crazy offense on the participants, culminting with a Canadian Destroyer to Andrade on a ladder. After this though, a bunch of guys in black jeans and hoodies storm the ring and beat down everyone. The crowd got incredibly into Page and Omega's clash, with a giant "this is awesome!" Caster then landed another Mic Drop on Swerve in the middle of the ring for a 2.9 count that was broken up by Lee at the last millisecond. Billy Gunn got on the apron to confront Lee, causing a distraction that allowed Caster to hoist Lee on his shoulders and hit a John Cena-style Attitude Adjustment. When Caster went to shake it, Lee punched Caster in the face, earning a shower of boos -- and a "you can't scissor" chant. Caster hit a Mic Drop elbow from the turnbuckle to Swerve on the outside. Hayter got Shida in a fireman's carry position and walked her up the ramp to the entranceway, where Baker planted her with a Curbstomp. But instead of being incapacitated due to the foot injury, he landed a knee strike in the corner and then a Go To Sleep for a two count. There was a dramatic scene where Moxley got Punk in an STF, and the camera closed right up on his bloody face. There were duelling chants for Punk and Moxley at the beginning, but once the match got going the crowd was 95% for Punk. Following the main event, that masked man was revealed to be MJF, who came out to the Chicago crowd for a staredown with Punk.

AEW All Out 2022 Winners And Losers: MJF's Back, CM Punk Is ... (TheSportster)

Punk vs. Moxley, the crowing of AEW's first-ever Trios Champions, and all of the other winners and losers from All Out.

There was nothing on the line in this one, and even though Darby Allin was in there, there were no death-defying spots. MJF removed the mask, stood at the top of the ramp, and signaled to Punk that he's coming for the title. As the rest of the JAS came out to celebrate, a dejected Daniel Garcia was shown backstage. On the one hand, this was an incredibly cool idea, and it leaves the door open for this feud to continue. The crowd was disappointed we didn't see the titles change hands, but the division as a whole is now better because of this match and everything in it. It might sound strange to say since this was a match for the titles, but this bout did a lot to cement both these teams as major players in the division. There was a point where it felt like United Empire should have been in this one, but the story told between Hangman Page's Dark Order and The Elite was why this needed to be on the PPV. A showcase of what has made them two of the best to ever do it. On the other, it's probably something that should have happened on Dynamite three weeks ago, opening the door for Jungle Boy to get his revenge on what is arguably the biggest show of the year. Stokely Hathaway's group commandeering the match and handing The Joker the chip when he entered the ring added a layer of intrigue that was very unexpected. From CM Punk and Jon Moxley's rematch to the crowning of the first-ever Trios Champions, we run down every single match from All Out and decide whether it was a winner or a loser. A look up and down Sunday's All Out card would make it hard to argue that Tony Khan is attempting to make this it.

AEW All Out 2022 Results: Winners, Grades, Reaction and Highlights (Bleacher Report)

Welcome to Bleacher Report's coverage and recap of AEW All Out 2022. The annual pay-per-view was back in the NOW Arena in the Chicago suburb of Hoffman...

This was a hard-fought and entertaining encounter, but it makes the booking of their previous bout even more curious. Punk managed to escape the Bulldog Choke and hit a GTS. Moxley countered a GTS and hit the Death Rider for a close two-count. Matthews hit Miro with Sting's bat while the ref was looking the other way, so Sting and Allin had to fend for themselves for a little while. Christian hit him with a Spear and a Killswitch to score the win in less than a minute. Both men came close to winning with some of their signature moves, but it took a low blow and a Judas Effect from Jericho to score the win. The pace was slow and methodical at times, but not in a bad way. This was the first match in over 500 days for the man with a box on his head, so he seemed fired up and ready to remind the crowd of who he is. Lee and Swerve acting more like heels helped get the crowd behind The Acclaimed even more than it already was, but more importantly, it allowed them to tell a better story. After a symphony of powerbombs, Wardlow was able to get the pin on Lethal to give his team the win. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens had a shot to win the AEW tag titles this weekend when they took on Swerve and Keith Lee. - This was the first time we have had to see Hook sell more than a move or two.

MJF has had a bizarre—if not unprecedented—2022, where he has become more notorious for his actions outside of the ring than in it. They get back to the ring and Danielson looks for a diving headbutt but Jericho rolls away and then looks for the Lionsault, but Danielson reverses and then looks for his finish, but Jericho pushes himself out of that as well. Punk then hits a GTS, but as Moxley falls back he lands on Punk's back, so he opts to get up and hit the move again! Caster eats a kick to the side of the head from Swerve, but he is able to kick out again as Bowens then pulls Strickland, holding him from the ring apron as Caster dives down with the Mic Drop. He recovers enough to land the knee lift, but that hurts his knee again as well, and Strickland then throws him out, with the knee once again taking a bump on the landing as Strickland then dives out of the ring to dropkick the injured area. He breaks out and sends Jericho out of the ring which leads to him diving through the ropes as Danielson then unloads a bunch more chops. He tags back in but yet again the knee isn't able to sustain it, and Lee swipes at the knee with a huge kick as he then goes to the top rope. Ishii kicks Kingston in the back, but that fires him up and then they begin slapping each other in the face with Ishii taking control, but Kingston then manages to take Ishii down but hurts his shoulder in the process. The Young Bucks then hit superkicks while Omega connects with a V Trigger, and he then hits his classic dive out of the ring to take everyone down. They bring down Omega and hit stereo dropkicks, but then Omega tags himself in as they argue, with Omega and Page then trading big chops until the Cowboy hits a massive big boot and a fallaway slam. PAC then tries to go to the top rope but Sabian hits a kick of his own, the two men then come down and Sabian hits an enziguri that sends PAC out of the ring. Kingston then gets up and throws a few more chops, but one big forearm strike from Ishii sends the AEW star to the mat, with Ishii following up with a suplex. She then hits the ropes and Guevara throws her up to hit a Canadian Destroyer, but Guevara follows it with a Swanton, only for Ortiz to kick out.

AEW All Out 2022 recap & reactions: Punk/MJF feud reignites (Cageside Seats)

AEW's Sept. 4 PPV featured a new World champ, a shocking return, and so much more on a 15 match card. Break it down with us here.

Storm returned for a DDT to Baker and a DDT to Hayter for the win. High energy, chaotic action for the opener to get in the mood. That was the definition of a slugfest. It was the kind of match that demands and deserves time off to recover. It’s like he’s a slave to the drama to his own detriment. The return of Joe is a nice treat, and the moment for Harwood’s daughter was sweet. The iron is hot for Baker to put over Hayter to make a new star. AEW needs to pull the trigger on the breakup of Baker and Hayter after that. The dino carried JB’s body to the ring and slammed him through a table at the orders of Christian. The sad boy was sad about Jericho cheating to win. This match was good placement to pick up the energy again for the main event. Punk hit a neckbreaker and went for the GTS.

The Real Winners and Losers From AEW All Out 2022 Match Card (Bleacher Report)

Instead, Captain Charisma had a plan, proving that he was always in the head of Luchasaurus. The future is bright, and The Acclaimed will soon be champions, an idea that was almost inconceivable a few months back in a packed division. It was a disappointing result but also sets the stage for something special. The Best in the World was once more in front of a hometown Chicago crowd with the AEW World Championship on the line. The Acclaimed walked into a match with Swerve in Our Glory as the clear underdogs. This made Swerve in Our Glory perfect foils to elevate The Acclaimed. This is a story that has been months, arguably years, in the making. He was the star of the show. It was handed to a masked man, who did not reveal himself in the moment. Whenever he cashes in, it is impossible to imagine that Punk keeps the title. It was the match that made Wardlow and Scorpio Sky, Instead, it went to a man unmasked at the very end of the night.

AEW All Out review: Yes, there was a pay-per-view too (Figure Four Online)

The big news, of course, is CM Punk...regaining the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley after losing it to him in quick fashion a week ago. I don't know if ...

Jurassic Express is over, with Luchasaurus attacking Jungle Boy in the aisle as he was heading to the ring for his match against Christian Cage, slamming him off the announce stage and powerbombing him through a table before sending him in the ring to Christian. Five hours is a very long time for a wrestling show, but if the wrestling is good and everything winds up pacing well, then there isn’t much of a problem. One trios team that seems unlikely to challenge The Elite is The House of Black, who lost to Miro, Sting, and Darby Allin in the co-main event, with Allin pinning Malakai Black clean with a coffin drop. I don’t know how this translated to TV, but the heat for this match live was unreal and better than anything at Clash at the Castle, which had a pretty hot crowd! And you have to give The Acclaimed massive credit, as a lot of people were skeptical about them getting the title shot. The ladder match had some cool spots, but was overshadowed by the angle that ended the match, with Stokely Hathaway and his new clients (W.

Best and Worst Booking Decisions of AEW All Out 2022 Results (Bleacher Report)

AEW All Out 2022 was five hours of continuous action and could prove to be one of the most important shows in All Elite Wrestling history.

What makes the Zero Hour a pre-show if it consists of four matches that take up the entire hour? It wouldn't be fair to complain about one company doing that and give excuses for the other. Who was in possession of the future title shot? At first, seeing several masked guys storm the ring and wreck shop felt like the second coming of WWE's Retribution. At least here, it was a genuine, natural response to prove The Acclaimed is over and would have been welcomed as champions with open arms. Instead, Hobbs won a glorified squash match out of nowhere just when it was starting to get going. Those two teams could tear the house down and this match might have just been the first taste of something great. These matches had potential to steal the show. Why should fans want to see Hobbs against Starks again, when the latter got destroyed? Wardlow's four powerbombs on Jay Lethal emphatically prove he should be done with that feud and move on to a new challenger for the TNT Championship. Whenever Swerve in Our Glory was on top, fans erupted if the tables turned. It should help drive the wedge even further between Page's tenuous friendships.
