Toronto 10-year-old to make big-screen debut at TIFF with buzzy ... (Toronto.com)

Sebastian Singh is coy and professional about 'Brothers' and his plans beyond, but whatever acting work is coming won't come at the expense of school work.

He’s been in an episode of “Suits” and a made-for-TV movie entitled “Left for Dead: The Ashley Reeves Story” with Lindsay, Ont. He has even has produced and co-written a sci-fi short with his family, “H.E.N.R.I.” “Brother” is Sebastian’s first cinematic effort, but it’s not his first time in front of the camera. He did admit that it’s his dream to star in a superhero movie, specifically Spider-Man. “I’m mostly looking forward to seeing myself in the movie,” he told the Star in an interview just before his weeknight bedtime. Sebastian agrees: “I think I’m prepared for that.” Definitely not suitable for an actor who enjoys watching cartoons like “Zombies 3” and the“Ice Age” series on Disney Plus. His parents filtered the script, not overloading Sebastian with content too mature for him, and broke down his character’s profile to help Sebastian understand the story. Even while staying on top of school, Sebastian has been well trained, including about keeping projects he’s involved in close to his vest. “I’ve been acting my whole life,” he told me. Sebastian will be seen playing the younger version of Lamar Johnson’s lead Michael when the movie unspools at the Princess of Wales Theatre on Sept. “Brother” is adapted from David Chariandy’s novel, winner of the Writer’s Trust Fiction Prize and Toronto Book Award.

Sofia (Yorkville): is unassumingly tucked in a nook in the heart of Yorkville that offers Italian-inspired cuisine and amazing cocktails. KOST (Bisha Hotel): has one of the most stunning views of the city with a open-air patio that is a popular destination for TIFF after parties. There has been word of a few celebrities getting their Chinese food fix here in the past including Director X, Drake, and even Cardi B herself actually dined and showed her love on social. If money is no object and you’re living like a super star order up the “5 Stars” cocktail for a whopping $1000. Each dish is a tasty merging of cultures and truly unforgettable. Bisha Hotel (80 Blue Jays Way) also a few steps away from TIFF central and is confirmed to be home to the Getty Images’ Portrait Studio with many A-list celebrities expected to stop by. 1 Kitchen (1 Hotel Toronto): This restaurant is known to serve up fresh, local and sustainably sourced farm-to-table cuisine. Our favourites dishes here include a must have serving of the Thai Chicken Wings, Khao Soi (fresh egg noodles in a golden milk curry with beef, chicken, shrimp, or veggies), or Chef Nuit’s famous Pad Thai – add lobster because you’re a star that way). Your likelihood of spotting a celebrity being quickly ushered in and out of their car services for interviews is pretty high. The Ritz Carlton (181 Wellington Street West) is located mere steps away from TIFF central (TIFF Bell Lightbox, Roy Thompson Hall, Princess of Wales Theatre, Royal Alexandra Theatre) and an excellent choice for your Film Festival experience. Take in a sweeping view of the cityscape from the bar’s epic patio. Four Seasons Hotel (60 Yorkville Avenue) located in Yorkville is a favourite amongst visiting celebrities all year round.
