If the Bears are going to overachieve — and Fields is going to start playing to his massive potential — someone in this group will need to step up in a big way. Replacing former Chief Darrel Williams to push Edwards-Helaire for carries this fall will be former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Ronald Jones. Jones had one of the worst recent rookie seasons on record after gaining 44 yards on 23 carries in 2018, but has since emerged as an effective platoon back. Cleveland gave up on him after a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder led to a terrible 2021.
