Blue Jays vs. Rays predictions: Picks, odds, live stream, TV channel ... (DraftKings Nation)

We go over how to watch Tuesday's game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays and make some picks.

Look for a low-scoring Blue Jays win and a quality start from Gausman. It’s been a rollercoaster season for the Blue Jays to say the least. He has also been much better against right-handed pitching this season as he’s hitting .313 with five home runs against RHP versus .296 with no home runs against LHP. On the mound, Rasmussen has been great as he is 6-3 with a 3.17 ERA. Yandy Diaz has been one of their top hitters this season as he is hitting .288 with five home runs and 33 runs batted in. The Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays square off on Tuesday with first pitch set for 7:10 p.m. ET. The game takes place at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, FL and will only be available on local TV or through an MLB.tv subscription.

MLB odds: Blue Jays-Rays prediction, odds and pick - 8/2/2022 (ClutchPoints)

Two familiar foes in the Toronto Blue Jays and the Tampa Bay rays will meet for the first of a short two-game series that has major playoff implications on ...

This showdown on the diamond between two teams that aren’t necessarily fond of each other will be a treat to watch. Despite this, the Rays can only really take it one game at a time and that’s exactly what they’ll do for this divisional matchup against Toronto this evening. Now entering August, the desperation to win ballgames has only become greater, as continuing down on this lackluster path may cause Tampa Bay to fall short of their postseason dreams. One of the best teams in the league in putting up crooked numbers on the scoreboard, Toronto knows how to swing the bats. Entering today’s matchup, the Blue Jays are fresh off of winning three out of four games at home against the Detroit Tigers. Toronto is also 7-2 since the All-Star break which has bolstered them to a three-game lead over Tampa Bay for the second-place spot in the AL East standings. While Toronto has not been a top pitching squad this season, their numbers suggest that they have certainly improved and are capable for the occasional masterful performance from the rubber.

Blue Jays vs. Rays series preview: Can Toronto take advantage of ... (Sportsnet.ca)

After a beach-themed party Sunday night in Florida and an off-day in the Sunshine State on Monday, the Toronto Blue Jays get back to business on Tuesday ...

As usual, the Rays have been a problem for the Blue Jays this year, winning two of three in Tampa in May and three of five over Canada Day weekend in Toronto. The Blue Jays then went 1-6 on a road trip to Oakland and Seattle, essentially spelling the end for Toronto manager and former Rays coach Charlie Montoyo. Tampa RHP Drew Rasmussen (6-3, 3.17 ERA) The slump has dropped the Rays into a tie for second with the Seattle Mariners in the wild-card race, three games behind the Blue Jays. While the Tigers are one of the worst teams in the American League, the Blue Jays had to scratch and claw for all of their wins. Coming off a 4-2 homestand, the Blue Jays now play nine in a row on the road.

It's a new month, and a new series will get underway for the Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field tonight.

When you also consider that Tampa has lost seven of its past nine games, the value is clear. We want to cut that juice by backing the road team to score first. Gausman has suffered a few blowups since June, but he’s got a 2.35 ERA over his past four road starts. They rank 22nd in scoring (4.12 runs/game) and have scored three or fewer runs in seven of their past nine games. Skip Advertisement Skip Advertisement

Blue Jays vs Rays Picks and Predictions: Toronto Stays Hot Against ... (Covers.com)

MLB odds, picks, and predictions for Toronto Blue Jays at Tampa Bay Rays on August 2. MLB betting free picks for moneyline and Over/Under.

Gausman is pitching well this season, but he is still giving up more hits than he would like, and opponents are getting to the right-hander for a .253 expected batting average. The Blue Jays enter this matchup as winners of 10 of their last 12 ball games. Now they face Rasmussen, who hasn’t been giving up a ton of runs but is consistently getting hit hard and not striking out guys. The right-hander has also had plenty of success against the Blue Jays this season. Now, he must deal with what has been arguably the best offense in baseball over the last two months. The Over is 8-2 in the Blue Jays' last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning record and is 6-1 in the Rays' last seven games at home. The total for this matchup hit the board at a low 7.0 but is now juiced to the Over. He is also striking out a solid 10.6 batters per nine innings. It was only the second time in 19 starts this season that he allowed more than three earned runs. Our best bet is our favorite pick across all markets. Blue Jays vs Rays predictions

These guys are going to help us do that," he said, adding later: "I think we're all looking for a boost. "You definitely know, it was unfortunate that I wasn't able to do it," he said of getting that deep with the no-hitter intact. With a full roster, you know, it's a cool thing to have and it's some tough decisions but they're good tough decisions." "Usually, the hit that Jano got seems to be the hits they get late in the game here. I think it's important for all of us to learn as much as we can from him and excited to see what he can bring. We're excited to see what's next, to just go out there and continue to compete." But bringing in the guys that we did, I think they're going to help us win." A lot of guys in there watching the TV wondering now who we're going to get, who are (we) going to give up, that type of thing. For me personally, I'm excited to be around him and talk to him and play ball with him." "Anybody who can come here and help us is a plus. Each helps to fortify various roster gaps and protect against injury while also augmenting the talent base for next year and beyond. "Shohei Ohtani to the Toronto Blue Jays," one player called out playfully to his teammates.

The Toronto Blue Jays go for their 12th win in 14 tries on Wednesday afternoon to cap a two-game set against the Tampa Bay Rays.

His 5.93 ERA on the road is bad, but his 17.1% walk rate and 2.049 WHIP are even worse. But on the road, we just can’t trust him right now. In 34 plate appearances, Hernandez is batting .344 with five home runs and a pair of doubles. Also, Blue Jays lefty Yusei Kikuchi has faced his greatest struggles on the road. Hernandez has crushed lefties this year, and that’s not a one-off. Blue Jays vs.

Blue Jays vs Rays Picks and Predictions: AL East Foes Headed in ... (Covers.com)

MLB odds, picks, and predictions for Toronto Blue Jays at Tampa Bay Rays on August 3. MLB betting free picks for moneyline and Over/Under.

As we've said, Toronto will see a good amount of fastballs today, and the Jays are very good at hitting them. These two teams are trending in opposite directions, and one has an excellent advantage over the other today. Getting the Jays here at this price feels like a nice edge, even if our projections don't exactly agree. In a vacuum, Beeks will continue to throw the fastball, and Toronto will have tons of success against it, or he'll go to a different pitch. In two of his last three starts, he's surrendered just one earned run, which is easily the best stretch for him. We're grabbing the -110 price now, but I think you may even get a better number if you wait right up to the first pitch. The Teoscar Hernandez player prop market sticks out the most, but with so many good options, it's tough to narrow it down. Of course, one of those came against the same Tampa Bay team, which makes sense. He's been mostly an auto-fade for me this season, but maybe, just maybe, he's turning the corner. Jalen Beeks (1-1, 2.36 ERA): Beeks throws two pitches almost exclusively, with the fastball being his preferred over the changeup. The Rays are returning at about +100. Yusei Kikuchi (4-5, 4.89 ERA): Kikuchi has been a famous fade for many this season, and it's easy to see why.
