The MLB slate is jam-packed on Saturday with 16 games on the schedule as teams begin to settle in after the All-Star break.
Seven of his 11 hits against him have gone for extra bases, which includes three home runs. Stanton over 0.5 RBI (+130): There’s definitely some value backing New York’s cleanup hitter to drive home a run in a plus matchup. The shortstop has racked up 11 hits in 29 at-bats against Pineda, which has resulted in an extremely impressive .423 batting average against him. It’s not like Correa has just been smashing singles off of Pineda, either. He’s also managed two walks against the righty, giving him a strong .448 on-base percentage when facing the Detroit pitcher. Instead, we’re going to rely heavily on strong historical trends with today’s prop targets.
SportsLine's Mike McClure, a daily Fantasy pro with over $2 million in winnings, gives optimal MLB DFS lineup advice.
Stanton also has faced Lyles in nine at bats this season and has three hits against him. Lyles only pitched 2.2 innings against Tampa Bay on July 17 and gave up six runs in a 7-5 loss. McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won over $2 million in his career. Prior to Friday night, Tapia had never produced more than four RBI in a single game, but he had been on a four-game RBI streak ahead of last night's rout. That isn't likely to be the case this weekend after the third inning of Toronto's 28-5 win at Boston on Friday, where he hit an inside-the-park grand slam and followed that up with a two-run double in his next at bat. One-off performances like that can turn daily Fantasy tournaments upside down, but is Tapia worth considering for MLB DFS lineups again on Saturday?
Dan Marcus reviews the evening options where a pair of pitching aces are set to start.
Two other things to note: this lineup offers significant savings from the Rangers stack and this could be a game stack as I like the Guardians to also put up some runs. The first reason is the matchup against Sanchez, who's making only his second start of the season and is well past his prime. Lance Lynn hasn't been a name to pick on in recent seasons, but he doesn't appear to be 100 percent after missing the beginning of the season due to a knee injury. There's not too many times we'll be able to recommend a Diamondbacks stack this season, but Saturday sets up to be a good spot. Pilkington checks most of the boxes that we want to target in stacks, primarily in the form of a low strikeout and high walk rates. Cesar Hernandez ($3,500) isn't extremely reasonable, but he's an example of a way to get exposure to a desirable matchup at a relatively low salary. The game is also at the Oakland Coliseum, a park known for suppressing offense. When the Rockies have played outside of Coors Field this season, they only have a .281 wOBA and 81 wRC+. The pitching pool seems to dictate a build spending either all the way up or all the way down. Even so, Tim Anderson ($5,300) is hitting atop the order and reaching base. He makes for a decent pivot off Meyer in particular - who'll likely be a popular choice - but there's also plenty of risk. It's been rare this season to see a heavy schedule on a Saturday night, but this week is an exception with 10 games.

The Twins have been relatively solid in regards to scoring in the first inning, being shut out in just 64.4% of first innings on the road as well as 63.8% of first innings overall. Conversely, the Tigers have been held scoreless in 69.6% of their opening frames at home as well as 78.7% of games overall, including seven of their last ten. He's actually better in the first on the road this season, tossing a shutout opening frame in five of six starts away from Target Field. He kept the Tigers from scoring in the first inning in his lone start against them this season, a 5-0 Twins victory on April 27th. Stroman made four starts against Philadelphia as a member of the Mets last season and kept the Phillies off the board in the first in all four starts. The numbers haven't changed much since yesterday, as the Cubs have been held scoreless in the first inning in 62% of games, with an 8% jump to 70% when they're on the road. The 26-year-old has been very good in the first inning, holding opponents off the scoreboard in 10 of his 14 starts. He'll take on veteran Michael Pineda (2-5, 5.22 ERA), who's making his ninth start on the season. On the other hand, the Phillies have been held scoreless in the opening frame at a 65.2% clip at Citizens Bank Park, and at a 74.2% clip overall. On the other hand, I'll be backing Phillies ace Zack Wheeler (8-5, 2.89 ERA). While Wheeler isn't having quite the same success as he did during his Cy Young nominated 2021 campaign, he's certainly been pitching well. If you are trying to risk it for the biscuit, then Meyer may be the value pitcher you are looking for. Now, Ohtani faces the right-handed Wright and should be the one batter in the lineup that will do some damage. Judge clobbered home runs 35 and 36 on Friday to extend his lead in the league to six home runs more than the next batter. LAA ($9,100) — Wright isn’t technically the second most expensive pitcher, but I think he will be the second best option. While there are 20 teams in action, the top pitcher is easily Cole, who has a 9-2 record with a 3.02 ERA. He continues to be one of the best arms in the game and will look to dominate the Orioles Saturday. BAL ($10,400) — Stacks will be the name of the game for today’s slate.

On Saturday, Jose Urena takes the mound and has been shaky since he came up with the Miami Marlins. This will be his first start against his old team, and I think they get to him early and often. This will be the fifth time Verlander has faced the Seattle Mariners this season. These teams combined for 11 runs Friday as the Brew Crew picked up the win in extra innings. They have young star Alek Manoah taking the mound, who has shined this season just as much as he did on the mic at the All-Star Game. Toronto continues the momentum and picks up the win. The Texas Rangers and Oakland Athletics will close the night with first pitch set for 9:07 p.m. ET. The MLB will hold a full slate of games on Saturday, July 23.

In his last 13 games, Taveras is batting .442 with a .721 slugging percentage. However, this year Taveras is proving why he was such a hyped prospect just a couple of years ago. Sure, Boston is loaded at the top with guys like Rafael Devers, Xander Bogaerts, and J.D. Martinez, but the rest of its lineup has been beyond pathetic. Orioles starter Jordan Lyles gets the unenviable task of facing Judge today. Today, Taveras and the Rangers will lock horns with the Oakland A's. The A's will send James Kaprielian and his 5.09 ERA to the mound, and if you think Kaprielian might be better at the pitcher-friendly confines of RingCentral Coliseum keep in mind that he has a 5.40 ERA with a .255 OBA in six starts at home. The Toronto Blue Jays massacred the Red Sox last night winning 28-5. Lyles has a 4.76 ERA in 19 starts this season and his expected ERA of 5.15 is virtually identical to his career ERA of 5.17. Outfielder Leody Taveras is having a breakout campaign in his third season with the Rangers. The 23-year-old split last season between Triple-A Round Rock and Texas and slashed a pathetic .161/.207/.270 in the bigs. Manoah has pitched to a sparkling 2.28 ERA with a 0.96 WHIP in 18 starts and takes on a Red Sox lineup that has struggled lately with an OPS of .660 in their last 10 games. That includes a pair of strong performances against the Red Sox where he limited them to nine hits and two runs over 14 innings. Manoah's performance in the All-Star game showed just how talented he is, with the 24-year-old striking out the side in a mic'd up second inning that was one of the best moments of the Midsummer Classic. Coming out of the break, it makes sense that we're backing a pair of All-Stars in Alek Manoah and Aaron Judge. But we're also putting our money in a young player who could be gunning for an All-Star appearance in the future in Rangers outfielder Leody Taveras.

Snell just can't seem to find his stride this season, and even when it looked like it might turn around following a pair of recent solid back-to-back outings, he was lit up for five runs on four hits and six walks over 3.2 innings by the Rockies at Coors in his final first-half start. Ryan also stymied the Tigers in one encounter this season by firing seven shutout, one-hit innings during which he recorded a season-high nine strikeouts back on April 27. - Tigers Under 1.5 runs – 1st 5 innings (-105 on DraftKings Sportsbook) for 1.05 RW Bucks - Twins -0.5 – 1st 5 innings (-130 on DraftKings Sportsbook) for 1.30 RW Bucks
Zach Thompson gives his top studs and value plays for Saturday's fantasy baseball slate on DraftKings.
He has six multi-hit games over his past eight in which he’s logged multiple at-bats and has a good matchup against lefty Blake Snell ($8,900), who he is 5-for-12 against in his career, including a home run. In the past 20 games, he has gone 24-for-63 (.381) with nine doubles, three home runs, four stolen bases and a .455 wOBA. His nine-game hitting streak came to an end on Friday night, but he still drew two walks. DJ LeMahieu ($5,000) and Gleyber Torres ($5,000) have also been hot lately and deserve a look as part of the Yankees stack. After a strong audition as part of the replacement team in Toronto, he earned a call-up to start the second half after Edward Olivares (quad) landed on the IL. Pratto is a 23-year-old lefty who was ranked the No. 2 prospect in the organization by MLB Pipeline. He has multiple hits in three of his past four games and is 6-for-18 (.333) with three doubles, a home run and 7.4 DKFP per game over his first five MLB starts. Washington Nationals ($5,000) – The Diamondbacks cruised to a 10-1 win on Friday, and Marte delivered a home run, a triple and four RBIs on his way to 30 DKFP. He now has four homers in his past seven games and is hitting .368 (14-for-38) with a .509 wOBA over his last 11. He’s up to 36 homers in his 92 games, giving him a .417 wOBA to go with his .284 batting average and 77 RBIs. He’s an expensive play but has reached 14 DKFP or more in four of his past five games, so he often is worth the extra salary due to the high ceiling that his power potential provides. San Diego Padres ($5,200) – The Marte party is definitely in play on this slate if you want to pair Starling with former teammate Ketel (highlighted above). Starling Marte has been a regular in the second spot for the Mets all season and has been heating up lately, going 26-for-67 (.388) with two home runs, four stolen bases and a .430 wOBA over his past 17 contests. San Francisco Giants ($2,600) – Alberto usually starts for the Dodgers against lefties and is hitting .270 on the season against southpaws with a .287 wOBA. He went 2-for-2 with a double on Thursday and has hit safely in four straight games in which he has a plate appearance. He is 6-for-20 (.300) with a home run and .398 wOBA over his past eight games, so there is definitely upside to consider at this minimal salary if he’s part of his team’s potent lineup against former-Dodger Alex Wood ($8,000). Los Angeles Angels ($5,700) – Riley returned from the All-Star break with another multi-hit game to post double-digit DKFP on Friday. He has 12 multi-hit performances in his last 19 games — a span in which he’s gone 33-for-78 (.423) with seven doubles and nine home runs, powering him to a .553 wOBA over that stretch. Marte and the Diamondbacks are in another favorable setup Saturday against Aníbal Sánchez ($5,000), who allowed four runs in five innings in his season debut just before the All-Star break. Gerrit Cole, New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles ($10,400) – All season long, Cole has been a rock-solid option for the Yankees and fantasy owners.
Tyreese Eagletail from Calgary was selected as one of 50 Indigenous players to take part in the Native American All-Star Baseball Showcase in Atlanta.
Tyreese, who plays for the 18U Calgary Cardinals, was at the two-day camp with 49 other Indigenous youth. Baseball Canada, the sport's national governing body, said in a statement it was "thrilled to learn of Tyreese's participation in the Native American Baseball Showcase and the opportunity to represent his team and community in Atlanta. We wish Tyreese much success as he pursues his baseball dreams." He told his mother that one day he wants to get to the major leagues and is ready for the work in order to do so. "I got to meet the pitching coach for the Atlanta Braves. He worked with me," Tyreese said. Tyreese got to show off his skills for Rick Kranitz, a coach with the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves. Tyreese Eagletail stepped onto a major league pitcher's mound for the first time last week and he is working to make sure it's not the last time.

The Action Network's Doug Ziefel breaks down his favorite player prop bets from the MLB slate on Saturday, July 23.
We have already seen Ryan dominate this lineup, as he racked up nine strikeouts against them back in April. Manoah has only gone past the sixth inning in six of his 18 starts this year. However, the one thing that Ryan has not excelled at is setting hitters down on strikes. Manoah had a tremendous first half, as he enters this one with a 10-4 record and a 2.28 ERA. That has created a great deal of value for his outing today. However, I’ve already done that work for you, and I’m set to give you my top two player props of today’s slate.
Everything you need to know to place your MLB bets and set your fantasy baseball lineups for Sunday, July 24.
Matt Vierling(1%) and Johan Camargo(15%) are in play for the Phillies, but they hit at the bottom of the order and are candidates to be lifted for a pinch-hitter if ticketed to face a righthanded reliever. - Thairo Estrada(SF, SS -- 56%) at Kershaw - Josh Rojas(ARI, SS -- 47%) vs. However, he's fanned only 29 in that span, so he's a risk despite the lofty rank. Complicating matters on Sunday is many All-Star hurlers are on the hill, so hopefully you're not trying to chase down a team with an ace in the hole. MLB game odds are provided by Caesars Sportsbook, and fantasy advice is geared towards ESPN 10-team leagues with standard scoring.
