That was a bad football game to watch and see some of the antics that were going on." Some fans arrived three hours before kickoff to sit on the temporary seats and watch players on both teams getting a feel for the turf and their surroundings. Halifax received a conditional team in the 1980s but it never became operational. An accommodating Fajardo posed for photos with fans before trotting on to the field for pre-game warm-up. "A lot of green in there, that's great, the Riders fans travel like they always do. Halifax hosted Toronto and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in a 2005 exhibition game that ended 16-16. "I don't believe he did that, that's just my understanding of Duke and who he is on the team." "I don't t believe he would do that but when somebody brings it up I think you have to look into it and investigate. And it happened two years ago, the same guy ... it's been going on for a while now." This is not what the league wanted to see in pregame warmup. A video showed Williams picking up Richardson's helmet and throwing it at him before the two players were separated. He said the two players have a history dating back two years.

STREAMING CFL PPV: Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Toronto ... (American Football International)

Saturday's action between the Argos and Riders will mark the first time in CFL history that a regular season game will kick off in the province of Nova ...

The Boatmen defence held the defending champions to two fourth quarter field goals in the second half the last time out. Running back Andrew Harris took the ball 22 times and rushed for 111 yards against his former team. Quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson completed 17 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns in the defeat. With an advantageous two-headed run game and the strong right arm of Fajardo, the Riders should have plenty of options come Saturday. This is a stream of the topflight TSN network television broadcast. Running backs Frankie Hickson and Jamal Morrow carried the ball a total of 21 times for 170 yards. “Isiah brings consistency,” Dinwiddie told argonauts.ca. “He’s got a little nasty to him, you could see he had a little edge to him at practice. This is more than a livestream. Their Week 5 win over Ottawa served as a perfect example, as to why coach Dickenson has leaned on the ground game. Fajardo is coming off a 231 yard, two touchdown performance against the REDBLACKS. Playmakers in defensive back Nick Marshall and linebacker Larry Dean each record an interception against Ottawa. “We’re just taking it one play at a time,” Morrow told riderville.com. “When we get our number called it’s time to take advantage of those opportunities.

CFL Touchdown Atlantic 2022 Recap: Argos Battle Back And Sink ... (CFL News Hub)

The Toronto Argonauts battled back late, thanks to big plays from their defense, to top the Roughriders 30-24, and win the 2022 version of Touchdown ...

But the drive would stall when a deep shot to Brandon Banks into the end zone would fall incomplete. On second down, The Argos would misfire on a possible pass completion down the field. But a late hit by Shane Ray and an assortment of misconduct penalties would give the Riders a first down at midfield. Toronto’s defense would force a quick two and out on Saskatchewan’s first offensive series of the second half. But as they neared the green zone, a second bad snap by Justin Lawrence that sailed over the head of Bethel-Thompson would lead to Toronto settling for a 41-yard field goal by Boris Bede to extend their lead to 20-14. The Argos would get all the way down to Saskatchewan’s 5-yard line after four first-down completions by MBT. But with only 8 seconds left, Toronto would fail to get in the end zone, and they would settle for a 12-yard field goal to take a 17-14 advantage into the second half. However, on the next play, McLeod would find a wide-open Cam Phillips on a busted coverage for a 40-yard major. Five plays later, Cody Fajardo would scramble and find a leaping Jamal Morrow in the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown. A Phillip Blake roughness penalty would lead to a second and 25. The Riders’ drive would stall, and they would settle for another Brett Lauther field goal to even the score at 7. Thanks to two big pass completions and a 15-yard run by McLeod Bethel-Thompson. Saskatchewan penalties would also help aid the drive. However, thanks to a Shawn Oakman sack, Toronto’s defense stiffened and held the Riders to a field goal attempt.

Roughriders come up short in Touchdown Atlantic thriller (Regina Leader-Post)

WOLFVILLE, N.S. — The Saskatchewan Roughriders couldn't answer a pick-six with a quick fix.

With that in mind, the Regina Leader-Post has created an Afternoon Headlines newsletter that can be delivered daily to your inbox to help make sure you are up to date with the most vital news of the day. Morrow, the league’s leading rusher, had 77 yards on 11 carries, one of which was a 51-yarder. Saskatchewan opened the possession with two first downs before Fajardo was sacked and was then intercepted by Richardson. The Argos had a chance to tie the game when Bede lined up for 42-yard field goal attempt. McManis soon bailed out Bede with the pick-six. The secondary was then shuffled, with safety Mike Edem moving to Milligan’s accustomed halfback spot and rookie Jayden Dalke being elevated to a front-line role at safety. As well, future Hall of Fame defensive end Charleston Hughes was a healthy scratch. Niether Williams or Richardson were made available to the media. I can’t see him jeopardizing getting ejected from the game because that would be a huge loss for us.” “You can’t spit into a man’s face,” Dinwiddie said. Fans arrived early for the party, taking advantage of the tailgating along with the adult and family fun zones. “It’s unfortunate to throw a pick-six when you’re up (two),” Fajardo said.

Toronto Argonauts overcome Roughriders in entertaining ... (Tip of the Tower)

The Toronto Argonauts and Saskatchewan Roughriders didn't disappoint a packed house for Touchdown Atlantic with a competitive back and forth game.

It’s unfortunate that Fajardo’s status going forward is in jeopardy but you can tell it wasn’t Oakman’s intention to hurt the quarterback. The Roughriders quarterback has been dealing with a knee injury this season and there were questions as to why there wasn’t a penalty even after it was challenged. In the second half of that game, they only allowed the defending Grey Cup Champions to score six points. Next on the list is trying to become the first Canadian reach 10,000 career rushing yards. DaVaris Daniel also made an impressive grab in the endzone to get the Argos on the board. It was also an impressive effort given they found ways to produce against the CFL’s top defence.

“We just want the ball and when we have it in our hands, we want to be as explosive as we can with it.” “I think it’s very similar to the game we saw in Montreal where we went in against a team that was hungry, desperate and well-rested. “(It’s a case of) coming together and everyone has a different tool that they bring to the table,” defensive tackle Demarcus Christmas said. The Argos also will come into the game as the fresher team, already having had two bye weeks this season. We’re just taking it one play at a time and when we have our number called, it’s time to take advantage of those opportunities,” Morrow said. “It’s a distraction, of course,” Riders quarterback Cody Fajardo added.
