Former US Olympian Kim Glass recalled the spine-chilling attack by a man in downtown Los Angeles, in a series of video stories on her Instagram handle.

In the videos posted on Instagram, Glass, who is a native of Los Angeles can be seen covered with injuries on her eye, nose and cheek. Glass believed that the object used for the attack on her was a metal pipe or a bolt. Meanwhile, speaking about the incident in the video, Kim revealed that a man ran up to her while she was having lunch on Friday afternoon.

Glass, a Team USA 2008 Olympic volleyball medalist, said she suffered facial injuries in an unprovoked attack outside a restaurant.

“Right now it looks like my vision will be OK, and I got really great stitching from a doctor,” Glass said. “He had something in his hand ... and he just like looked at me with some pretty hateful eyes,” she said. “And I’m getting a lot of messages, and I love you guys so much, and just know that I’m OK.”
