There is still real upside to his game, and as a restricted free agent without any arbitration rights, this summer is at the mercy of whatever team holds his rights. The Chicago Blackhawks are open to just about anything this offseason. Hagel (23), DeBrincat (24), and Dach would normally be considered the pieces to build around but general manager Kyle Davidson obviously has a different opinion, at least if he can get enough value back in trade.

His cap hit is $925K for the next three seasons. Joonas Korpisalo took a pay cut to remain with the team that drafted him 62nd overall in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. His new deal is at $1.3M, coming off a cap hit of $2.8M last season. The Columbus Blue Jackets signed defenseman Bill Sweezy to a two-year, two-way contact worth $762.5K prior to the 2022 NHL Trade Deadline, effective for the 2022-23 and 2023-2024 seasons. The Ohio native is remaining with Ohio’s hockey franchise for the next two years, at a cap hit of $4M dollars per season. Defenseman Marcus Bjork, 24, was a highly touted undrafted prospect from Sweden. With Kukan and Harrington gone, this gives him a better chance at play in North America. He was named the SHL top defenseman in the developmental league in the 2017-18 season. Roslovic, originally a Winnipeg Jets draft selection, was moved with winger Patrik Laine to Columbus on January 23, 2021 in a move that saw Pierre-Luc Dubois and their own 2022 third-round draft pick (#77 overall). Roslovic is expected to be the top center to start the 2022-2023 season after the injury to captain Boone Jenner from March 2022. The deal is also a two-way. Forward Joona Luoto, 24, is a long time friend of Patrik Laine from their days in Winnipeg and back home. Center Josh Dunne and the Union Blue agreed on a one year extension, with two-way implications included. The contract is backloaded, with more being paid out in year number 3, also raising his qualifying offer for restriction and arbitration rights. Last night, RD Adam Boqvist extended with the Jackets for the next three seasons at an average annual cap hit of $2.8M dollars. The first-rounder from the Vancouver Canucks had 5 goals and 2 apples for 7 points in 30 games this past season.

With the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft now just hours away, Chicago Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson has already made a splash to join in on the Day 1 festivities.

Ons Jabeur has risen to No. 2 in the world and is in as good as form as anyone, but looked shaky in a three-set match in the semifinals. The struggling Los Angeles Angels travel to Baltimore on Thursday to play the surprising Baltimore Orioles. The O’s have been an elite team at home this season, posting the best record on the runline at Camden Yards and the best runline record overall in baseball. The argument against Judge and for Ohtani is because of Ohtani’s pitching ability, but are we going to gloss over the fact that Judge has seamlessly transitioned to the Yankees’ every day centerfielder to give them more flexibility in the lineup? Right now, Aaron Judge is the favorite, and while there is no value in betting him at WynnBET at -135 odds, he has made a compelling case to win the award. I think the best blocker of the tight ends is Hayden Rucci. While Rucci didn’t record a catch last season, he’s a good blocker and should be out there in two tight end formations. The team is talented, and they should be treated as the favorites to appear in the ACC Championship game, but I see no value in betting them to do so. The pieces are in place for him, but he must find a way to get the ball out of his hands and into space. This is going to be the focal point of the team again, if they are able to continue to win on standard downs, the Tigers should be in every game, even if the offense remains underwhelming to prior years. Clemson Betting Preview, 2022 Predictions Clemson should be favored in every game except for the road trip to Notre Dame, but there are too many concerns on the offensive side of the ball to take them at such a short price to win the ACC. With back-to-back games against contenders Wake Forest and NC State, it feels that it may be another challenging year for Swinney. The schedule does no favors to a team that is hoping to get a bounce back campaign from Uiagalelei, and I can't bet them to succeed before I see the product. Myles Murphy (12 TFL) and Bryan Breese (6.5 TFL) are two of the best defensive linemen in the country and this is arguably the best front in the entire country. However, the team found some success on the ground with the likes of Will Shipley and Kobe Pace, Both will be back and the offensive line should have some necessary experience and health to take a step forward. Four different starters on the offensive line missed time for a rebuilt unit, and receivers were in and out of the lineup as well.

Chicago's No. 3 overall pick is on his way to Montreal.

Dach, 21, played in just 152 games across three seasons in Chicago, notching 19 goals with 40 assists. After a rather underwhelming return for DeBrincat, this Dach trade felt a lot more in line with an appropriate return for a player who did have his struggles but also had plenty of potential as a former No. 3 overall pick. Chicago traded Kirby Dach, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft, to the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for a first-round pick (13th overall) and third-round pick (66th overall) in this year’s draft.

The Dach trade came just hours after the Hawks traded Alex DeBrincat, two parts of a crazy day at the 2022 NHL Draft.

He’s still just 21 years old and still possesses all the raw skills to develop into an excellent two-way center. He recorded just 26 points in 70 games, clearly lacking confidence, before more wrist aggravation shut him down.
