Companies across Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and the U.S. were contacted. The city says the vendor, David Whysall International Fireworks Inc., contracted to provide this year’s Canada Day fireworks displays at Ashbridges Bay Park, Stan Wadlow Park and Milliken Park informed the City yesterday that the company did not intend to fulfill its contractual obligation to perform fireworks displays. The city of Toronto is cancelling the Canada Day fireworks scheduled for Milliken Park and is postponing Stan Wadlow Park fireworks to July 2nd.
