The Sea Dogs were bounced in the opening round of the QMJHL playoffs and their four Memorial Cup contests are the only games they have played since May 12. The Sea Dogs defeated the Bulldogs 5-3 in the opening game of the tournament and used the same script Wednesday, scoring early. The roof would come off once more 3:12 later when another first-time event sniper, MacDonald, accepted a feed from the point by William Villeneuve while parked in the slot, spun, and fired a quick wrister past Costantini. The Bulldogs countered at the 7:45 when MacTavish tipped Nathan Staios’ point shot eluded Hurtubise for his fifth of the tournament.
