A lightning strike within seven miles of the track forces a mandatory 30-minute delay. 6:36 p.m.: The red flag conditions are lifted! And there's our second crash — Alex Bowman is involved, and his right front tire is tearing the fender off as he heads to the pit. The minimum amount of time it will take to get the cars back on the track is an hour-and-a-half — roughly 10:30 p.m. ET. At that point, the broadcast will resume on USA Network (Nashville has lights). If the race is postponed, it will resume tomorrow at noon ET. Any weather delays from here on out will end the race. 10:47 p.m.: As mentioned on the telecast ... there's still some weather developing north of the track. The nut clearly wasn't on tight enough, and that'll be a big penalty for Beuscher's team. Josh Bilicki's car is smoking and he heads straight to the garage. A lot of people still out on the track. 11:54 p.m.: Cole Custer and Brad Keselowski trade paint but the car stays green. Elliott was in danger of losing his hard-earned lead after Josh Bilicki forced a caution with fewer than 10 laps remaining as his car's engine gave way. The Ally 400 — which honors the musical history of its host city with a guitar trophy — was anything but smooth, however.

The Action Network: Best race-day bet for Nashville (NASCAR.com)

The JGR driver posted the seventh-best 10-lap average in practice and improved to the fifth-best average over 15 laps. While I’m still not planning on a big betting card for today’s race at Nashville, one driver’s odds to win the Ally 400 are simply too good to pass up. In my mind, there are simply too many unknowns heading into today’s race to get overly heavy, from a bettor’s perspective, on the Ally 400.

Chase Elliott claims second NASCAR Cup Series win of season in ... (USA TODAY)

Chase Elliott took the lead from Kyle Busch on lap 264 of 300 and held on for his second win of the season in a race twice delayed by weather.

"I'm glad we're at least in the market and this is a cool town, it's a great place to be, it's a great place to race. "I didn't think the race was terrible tonight," Elliott said. I thought at that point it was going to be really one lane and it really wasn't. You could still be in at least a couple different lanes. Elliott has been critical of the concrete surface in the past, claiming it often lacks the opportunity for much side-by-side racing. "Then we didn't start the race very good. "Just to kind of reset and be able to reevaluate and get back on track out here."
