Darcy Kuemper was traded to Colorado in July 2021 for a package including a conditional 2024 third-round draft pick that is now Arizona's.

With the Avalanche this season, he posted a 2.54 goals against average and a .921 save percentage. Arizona will also have four selections in the second round with picks 34, 36, 43 and 45 at their disposal. As it currently stands, the Coyotes will have the third, 27th and 32nd picks in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft.
