Jeff Hardy Arrested On Suspicion Of DUI In Florida (Forbes)

Jeff Hardy was arrested in Volusia County, Fla. for "DUI Alcohol/Drugs 3rd Offense within 10 years" among other charges.

Pro wrestling’s addiction to Jeff Hardy is every bit as dark as Hardy’s own addictions. AEW is no different, as the pro wrestling industry continues to be one of the biggest enablers of Hardy’s never-ending struggles with substance abuse. I feel Jeff was stressed out in many ways about several things and he confessed to me that when he went over that guardrail, he knew he was done. Despite Hardy’s unfavorable history, including the fresh controversy surrounding his WWE departure, AEW literally couldn’t sign Jeff Hardy fast enough. He was literally done with the match and he felt done." Hardy last competed alongside his brother Matt at AEW Double or Nothing in a victory over the Young Bucks. Many were quick to point out Hardy’s physical condition as he appeared very banged up.

Jeff's brother, Matt Hardy, later confirmed that Jeff turned down WWE's offer to go to rehab, leading to his release. The three-time WWE world champion, five-time WWE intercontinental champion and nine-time WWE tag team champion made his AEW debut in March by saving Matt from an attack at the hands of Andrade El Idolo and others. His most recent WWE run ended in December when WWE released him after he exited through the crowd during a six-man tag team match he was involved in at a house show.
